During Tuesday’s episode of Celebrity MasterChef, comedian Eshaan Akbar faced criticism after serving judge Gregg Wallace raw chicken on two separate occasions. The incident left Akbar, 40, and the show’s audience in disbelief as he presented both undercooked chicken liver and a butter chicken curry.
Akbar, who is also a writer, expressed his dismay over the culinary mishap, admitting that the experience would continue to haunt him. His disappointment was evident when judges Wallace and John Torode commented that his dish could have been exceptional had it been cooked correctly.

Comedian Eshaan Akbar, 40, shocked the show judges after he presented two undercooked dishes – chicken liver and butter chicken curry.
The writer was shocked by his subpar performance and confessed his poultry horror would ‘haunt him forever’.
Eshaan was visibly disheartened when Gregg and fellow judge John Torode revealed it would have been a ‘knockout’ dish if he had managed to get his timings right.
Tasting his second dish, Gregg quipped: ‘We are a little bit pink in here, which is such a shame because your flavours are magnificent.’

Eshaan, appearing visibly horrified, said: ‘I can’t believe I gave Gregg Wallace undercooked chicken twice in one day, that is going to haunt me forever.’
And while his undercooked dishes surprisingly landed him in the second round, viewers at home were equally astounded and amused as they accused the star of trying to ‘kill Gregg twice’.
Flocking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their shock as one penned: ‘When they choose a man that nearly killed Gregg TWICE…ahead of you.’

‘Eshaan – brilliant comedian, not good at cooking chicken under pressure!’
‘That’s twice now Eshaan has almost poisoned Gregg. Put him through to the next round ASAP.’
Despite his inedible chicken, the judges revealed they were impressed with his flavour combinations and sent Chloe Burrows to pack up her utensils and leave.
While Chloe was not accused of killing the judges, she did make a huge blunder and mistook her duck for a fillet of fish.

She also undercooked her brownie, which Gregg described as a raw ‘chocolate jam’.
After learning her fate, Chloe said: ‘If any of the others went, it wouldn’t have been great.’
Soap actress Danielle Harold, BBC Gladiator and Team GB Sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, and actress Rochenda Sandall will be joining Eshaan in the next round.
