Cuba Gooding Jr. seems to have a knack for getting into problems at social gatherings! After narrowly escaping sexual misconduct allegations, the Hollywood veteran’s summer starts with an alleged fight.

The award-winning actor rose to fame for his phenomenal performances in iconic films like the 90’s classic, “Boyz n the Hood.” Although he is celebrated as a sensational entertainer, his reputation differs outside the industry.

The New Yorker’s image is a controversial topic, with various accusations of inappropriate behavior filed against him. While the 55-year-old’s relationship with women remains questionable, the father of three may simply be a magnet for trouble.

Following his recent trials and tribulations, the Academy Award recipient visited the East End to cool off with his beautiful girlfriend, Claudine De Niro. However, a source told PageSix, the “Men of Honor” star’s plans to chill were rudely disrupted by a security guard.

The TV personality is not a stranger to visiting the famous Hamptons joints. He frequented spots like Surf Lodge, Duryea’s Lobster Deck, and Baron’s Cove, among others, but for his date night, the entertainer chose Stephen Talkhouse, a popular music venue.

Gooding and De Niro had gone to the Amagansett located hotspot for reggae night. However, their jam session did not start as planned. The band had been delayed, and they were setting up when one of the security guards spotted the “Radio” actor.

“He was sitting on the edge of the stage, waiting for the reggae band to start,” the source explained, noting the bouncer had marched up to the New Yorker and ordered him to stand up. Naturally, the 55-year-old did not appreciate the man’s discourteous tone but tried to settle the issue peacefully.

According to the insider, “Cuba was like, ‘Take it easy.’ Security then got all power hungry and was screaming in his face.” The informant clarified they did not see the next scene; however, they heard the matter ended when the “[security] picked him up to move him, and then [Cuba] left with Claudine.”

The truth behind the alleged altercation remains uncertain as the Stephen Talkhouse owner claimed “the incident was not as reported” when queried. Despite the music joint’s proprietor’s claims, they refused to share additional information about the issue.

As mentioned above, Gooding’s outing came weeks after the father of three made headlines for his poor relationship with women. The “Jerry Maguire” star narrowly escaped going to trial for rape after reaching an out-of-court settlement with the plaintiff.

Gooding and the alleged female victim resolved their issues minutes before the sexual assault case was scheduled at the New York federal court. The rape allegations first appeared in 2020, when the anonymous woman sued the SAG Award honoree. 

According to the lawsuit, the TV personality allegedly raped her in a New York City hotel over a decade ago. She claimed the “Boat Trip” actor coerced her to his lodging following their casual meeting in Manhattan.

Gooding used the excuse of changing clothes to get the unidentified lady into his room, where the deed was done. However, the New Yorker denied these accusations, claiming the encounter was consensual.

The Emmy Nominee Avoided Prison Using A Plea Deal In A Sexual Misconduct Case

The “Daddy Day Camp” star’s problems at social venues began years earlier with multiple accusations of inappropriate behavior, but time and time again, he get away before legal woes kick in.

Back in October, the 55-year-old managed to escape jail time after taking a plea deal in a sexual harassment case. Gooding was charged with forcible touching after a woman sued him for kissing her without consent at a New York City club in September 2018.

The victim filed the lawsuit a year later, eventually winning her day in court after a grand jury indicted the entertainer. The indictment occurred after the father of three was arrested based on the claims of another woman. According to the lady, the “End Game” actor groped her breast without consent on a rooftop hotspot in New York.

Initially, the TV personality refused to admit to these charges and tried to get the indictment thrown out of court. However, he copped a plea deal to avoid prison and admitted he kissed the first victim without consent.

Additionally, he pleaded guilty to subjecting two other women to non-consensual physical contact in October 2018 and June 2019. Per the legal agreement, Gooding would continue to receive the “alcohol and behavior modification treatment” he began in 2019 for six extra months and must not be arrested within the time frame.

If the New Yorker failed to adhere to the rules, he would serve up to a year behind bars.
