On Monday, Lola Sheen, daughter of Denise Richards, paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor Patrick Muldoon, who was known for his role in “Days of Our Lives.”
Muldoon, aged 57, tragically passed away from a heart attack at his Beverly Hills residence on Sunday, as reported by Variety.
According to TMZ, it was Muldoon’s girlfriend who discovered him unresponsive at their home and promptly called emergency services.
Richards, now 55, had a romantic relationship with Muldoon that lasted three years after they first crossed paths on the set of “Starship Troopers” in 1997. Even after their breakup in 2000, they maintained a close friendship.
Lola, who is 20, posted a nostalgic paparazzi photo on Instagram featuring her mother and Muldoon in a car together.
In her emotional post, she expressed how Muldoon was an integral part of their family, mentioning how she often wished her mother would revive her relationship with him.

Lola, 20, took to Instagram to share a tribute to their longtime friend and gushed about how Muldoon was a ‘huge part of our family’
During a 2019 episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards spoke about her longtime friendship with Muldoon.
‘I’ve known Patrick Muldoon since I was 19 years old. We call each other “schweet babe” because we had nicknames on Starship Troopers for everyone.’
She also previously revealed that they briefly ended their friendship while she was married to Charlie Sheen, with whom Richards shares daughters Sami, 27, and Lola.
Richards is also mother to Eloise Joni Richards, 14, whom she adopted in 2011.
‘I did not speak to Pat when I was married to Charlie,’ Richards admitted during a March 2025 episode of her reality show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.
‘And it was hard, because I didn’t want to lose him as a friend. But toward the end of the marriage, I talked to him all the time about him.’
When Richards split from Sheen in 2006, she and Muldoon resumed their friendship — which continued through her seven-year marriage to her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.
‘I thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever,’ Lola wrote in her tribute dedicated to Muldoon.

‘When I think of my childhood I think of you Pat, and it’s gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives,’ she continued.
‘You were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same, but that’s just because of how much you impacted us. Thank you for showing everyone around you how to be alive.’
Lola also gushed that Muldoon was the ‘definition of what it means to have fun.’
‘I’ll never forget when we were on that trip with my mom and you wouldn’t stop singing that Lola song to me, and made me laugh so hard,’ she added. ‘And you know that song will always make me think of you.
‘I will really miss hearing my mom laugh on the phone with you,’ she continued. ‘Your voice always brightened my day and I’m gonna miss hearing it but I know my mom will more, but we will never stop talking about you.’
She shared a photo of her mother with Muldoon and penned a lengthy caption dedicated to their longtime family friend.

In Lola’s post, she gushed about her friendship with her mother’s ex and highlighted the ‘bond’ her mom had with him despite their breakup back in the early 2000s; pictured in March 1998
‘Thank you for being the best friend to her. Thank you for being the one to make her laugh and forget about all she’s going through. That was a gift you had,’ Lola wrote before mentioning the connection Muldoon had with Richards, her mother.
‘The bond you two had was something so special, that no one can touch,’ Lola wrote.
‘When I think of my mom I think of you. You guys came as a package and I’m so thankful I got to know you and witness a friendship so pure and special in front of my eyes.’
She also wrote that she ‘always begged my mom — I’m sure she told you — that you guys would end up back together haha, but I guess staying best friends was better anyways.’
‘You really were a rockstar Pat, and forever will be,’ she concluded. ‘Have fun up there I know you will. Love you.’
