Kelly Clarkson has revealed which iconic song ‘almost killed her’ when she tried  to perform it.

After the Grammy Award winner, 42, performed Bon Jovi’s ‘Blaze of Glory’ on Thursday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, she said the song has sorely tested her vocal abilities.

‘Not even cause I can’t sing it, I just can’t read. Whatever,’ explained Clarkson to her live studio audience.

She noted that the song was written for the 1990 movie Young Guns II, winning the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

‘Here’s the thing,’ she said. ‘I grew up on that song. I know that song but in rehearsal I messed it up like a gazillion times.

‘Not even cause I wasn’t hitting the notes. I just couldn’t read. I just kept saying the wrong words.’

Clarkson added, ‘It got so ridiculous I had to let it go like Elsa just for a minute and then I had someone come rescue me.’

The American Idol alum then played a clip from rehearsal, in which she curses and screams while fumbling the lyrics.

‘My learning disability kicked in,’ she said before exclaiming: ‘Come on, Clarkson!’

Jon Bon Jovi, 62, himself then came in and hugged Clarkson after she sank to the ground in laughter.

‘Come on, girlfriend,’ said Bon Jovi with a laugh as Clarkson admitted, ‘I can’t say the right words, I can’t do it!’

He previously underwent surgery for vocal cord atrophy, which forced the band to cancel their 2022 tour.

Bon Jovi has been recovering with the potential to tour again, telling Men’s Health in April that he ‘perfectly’ sang the group’s 1986 single ‘Livin on a Prayer’ during a recent vocal therapy session.

‘I can hit the high B’s and C’s, no problem,’ added Bon Jovi, noting that he doesn’t plan to return to the road unless he’s ‘100 percent of 100 percent.’

‘We’re so blessed at this point that we can go out,’ he said.

‘I’m amazed, because I’ve heard [everyone from] doctors to people in the industry say to me, “People will pay money just to see you go up there and do it.”‘

Bon Jovi explained, ‘I don’t want their money, and I’m not going to spend their time. It’s just not an option.’

Bon Jovi’s Forever drops on Friday, June 7.
