Em Rusciano has publicly acknowledged the end of her marriage to Scott Barrow, marking a new chapter in her personal journey. The former radio personality, now 46, disclosed in her upcoming memoir, “Blood Sweat and Glitter,” that she and Scott have “officially, properly, legally separated,” as reported by Stellar on Saturday.
Rusciano’s memoir, slated for release next week, delves into the transformative experiences that have reshaped her life in recent years. She recounts how receiving an ADHD diagnosis at the age of 42, followed by an autism diagnosis the next year, alongside the challenges of perimenopause, significantly impacted her. “My relationship with Scott changed, which is probably not surprising, because I changed entirely,” she candidly shares.
The couple officially ended their relationship in November of the previous year. Reflecting on the separation, Em admits, “I’m way better than I was when it first happened,” indicating a sense of personal growth and resilience.
Together, Em and Scott are parents to three children: Marchella, 24, Odette, 18, and Elio, 6. Despite the split, they remain committed to co-parenting their youngest child, Elio, ensuring stability and support in this new phase of their lives.
She also revealed that the couple officially parted ways in November last year, admitting: ‘I’m way better than I was when it first happened.’

Em Rusciano has confirmed that she has split with her husband Scott Barrow
‘We’re still a family, it’s just a different shape. We’re still very much involved in each other’s lives,’ she said.
‘We just kind of said this isn’t working for either of us, and we’re going to do this our way.
‘All we really get is examples on American TV of divorces and separations, and it’s messy and awful. And there’s none of that here.
‘He will always be my family as the father of my kids.’
The former radio star has been candid about her relationship in the past, revealing in 2019 that the pair had been ‘struggling’.
Em took to Instagram at the time to share a sweet snap of herself with motivational speaker Scott, and told her followers the couple had been seeing a counsellor.
In a lengthy post, Em said that the pair sat down with their counsellor and admitted that they weren’t ‘happy,’ but had been trying to work through their issues and had reached a better place.
‘We had to sit down last week and hash it out, we sat opposite each other and said (with our counsellor in the room), “I’m not happy at the moment and this is what I need from you to make things better for me.”‘
She reveals in her upcoming book Blood, Sweat and Glitter, which hits shelves next week, that an ADHD diagnosis at 42, coupled with an autism diagnosis the following year as well as perimenopause, changed her life completely, Stellar reported

Detailing their issues, Em said that she wanted her husband to listen more, while Scott wanted her to not react right off the bat.
‘I needed him to listen and not solve, he needed me to not react straight away to things he said that annoyed me (which was every second word),’ she explained.
Assuring fans that they’re now okay and ‘good,’ Em admitted that relationships take work.
‘Relationships are hard, that doesn’t get said enough. Get help if you need it, and everyone does – at some point in time – need help,’ she mused.
‘Both of us make a living encouraging others to look after themselves, be brave and do good s**t, so we’d be massive hypocrites if we didn’t apply the same principles to our marriage.’
She finished by telling fans to be nicer to their partners and loved ones over the festive season.
One fan praised the refreshingly honest post and wrote: ‘And here I thought we were just being our usual dysfunctional selves… good to know others are doing the exact same thing, thanks Em, much needed reminder.’
It came after Em admitted, the previous year, that her marriage was ‘unfixable’.

After David Beckham said on The Sunday Project that his marriage to Victoria Beckham was ‘hard work,’ Em posted to Instagram to say she agreed with what he was saying.
‘I agree with @davidbeckham long-term relationships are bloody hard work and let’s not pretend otherwise,’ she captioned it.
‘Saying it out loud isn’t disloyal or wrong – it’s freeing and helps other couples!’
‘Personally my relationship goes from total love and adoration to silently rage whispering “go f**k yourself” in the blink of an eye. Doesn’t yours?!’
In an accompanying blog post, Em said that the pair went their ‘separate ways’ a few years ago, claiming they were ‘done.’
‘We were broken and I thought completely unfixable. Then after a year apart we decided to work on our relationship and managed to put the pieces back together,’ she wrote.
‘It’s not perfect, but it’s getting there; ultimately we are stronger together, and making something strong usually takes – say it with me, oh yeah you know what’s coming – hard work.’
