Emma Watson appeared ready to head back to Hogwarts when she attended a private charity dinner celebrating The Royal Marsden’s work, sponsored by fashion designer Ralph Lauren, at Windsor Castle.

The actress was one of the many A-list stars invited to the bash which was hosted by Prince William on Tuesday night.

Emma, 24, sported a somewhat preppy look as she teamed a crisp white shirt with a long grey skirt.

The Harry Potter actress looked stylish in her outfit, opting for minimal accessories, holding a small silver clutch and wearing a simple silver necklace.

It’s safe to assume her preppy outfit was in homage to the evening’s sponsor, Ralgh Lauren, who’s fashion house is famous for that distinctive style.

Emma highlighted her natural beauty with a sultry smokey eye and blood red lipstick while she styled her brunette locks into a slightly old-fashioned updo.

The Duke, who is said to have personally asked the Queen for permission to host the gala dinner, gave a brief welcome and address in which he thanked Mr Lauren for extending his philanthropic work to the Marsden.

Ralph Lauren’s company is the ‘Official Outfitter’ for the Wimbledon tennis championships and his personal association with William and the Marsden will see him take a further step into the upper reaches of British society.

Emma is currently about to begin work on her upcoming film, Regression, which is due for release in 2015.

The film which also Stars Ethan Hawke, follows a father accused of a crime he has no memory of committing.
