Alanna Ubach, known for her role in the series “Euphoria,” has leveled allegations against a Lyft driver, accusing him of stealing a package containing $1,000. This accusation resulted in the driver’s permanent removal from the Lyft platform.

The actress, originally from Downey, California, and now 50 years old, shared with TMZ on Thursday her experience, describing it as grand theft. The incident involved a driver who failed to fulfill an agreement to transport a package from Hollywood to another location.

According to Ubach, the driver deceived her into believing that package delivery was a standard service offered by Lyft.

In her account, Ubach detailed how she secured the $1,000 cash in a package using paper towels and tape, only for the driver to never reach the intended delivery destination.

Ubach, who portrays Suze in “Euphoria” alongside actors like Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, and Jacob Elordi, explained that the driver turned off his phone upon arriving at the address she had provided.

The Daily Mail has sought additional comments from both the Los Angeles Police Department and Ubach’s representative regarding the incident.

Ubach, who also has worked on shows such as The Last of Us, Family Guy and Mythic Quest, said that the person she intended to send the cash to waited outside for 45 minutes, but the driver failed to arrive.

Ubach told TMZ she contacted reps with the rideshare company to file a grievance.

At that time, Ubach said she was informed that package delivery was not a service offered.

Ubach said Lyft told her that the driver denied knowing about the transaction or being involved in any way.

A Lyft spokesperson told Daily Mail in a statement that immediate measures were taken upon receiving Ubach’s report.

‘We understand how distressing this situation is for the rider involved, and we take reports like this seriously,’ the spokesperson said.

‘Lyft is in contact with the rider and we have permanently removed the driver from the platform.’

The spokesperson clarified that ‘using Lyft rides to transport or deliver unaccompanied goods is not permitted and violates our Terms of Service.

‘In cases involving alleged misuse of the platform, Lyft has established processes to assist law enforcement, including helping them obtain relevant records and conducting internal investigations as appropriate.’

Ubach said the transaction was tied to bills in the name of her late sister, who passed away in November.

Ubach’s character on Euphoria, Suzane ‘Suze’ Howard is the storyline mother of Cassie Howard (Sweeney) and Alexis ‘Lexi’ Howard (Maude Apatow).

The character is estranged from ex Gus Howard (Nick Blood) and is depicted as having a drinking problem.
