Sara Burack, a real estate agent who appeared on Netflix’s 2020 series Million Dollar Beach House, tragically passed away on Thursday (June 19) in a hit-and-run accident in Hampton Bays, New York, as reported by Dan’s Papers and confirmed by TMZ. She was 40 years old.
According to the report, Southampton Town Police were on the lookout for a hit-and-run suspect after receiving a 911 call at approximately 2:45 in the morning concerning a woman, later identified as Burack, found lying on the road close to Villa Paul, an Italian restaurant on West Montauk Highway.
TMZ states that Burack “suffered severe head injuries and multiple broken bones,” and was revived on-site after going into cardiac arrest. She was then transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she died around 3 p.m. on Thursday, according to the report.
The police have requested that any witnesses to the incident to call 631-702-2230 or 631-728-3400.
Million Dollar Beach House, a six-episode reality series set in the Hamptons following the Nest Seekers International real estate group, was released in 2020 on Netflix. Citing Burack’s LinkedIn and Nest Seekers regional manager Geoff Gifkins, TV Insider reports that she joined the firm in 2012, and left “over a year ago.”
Per a Jan. 20, 2022 Instagram post of Burack’s, she also appeared on The Real Housewives of Miami.
According to Westhampton-Hampton Bays local news outlet Patch, Burack’s former co-worker at Nest Seekers International, Dylan Eckardt, praised her as “an unbelievable agent.”
“She could handle herself in New York as well as the Hamptons,” he added. “I’m so sorry that this happened. Condolences go to her family.”
According to TMZ, survivors of Burack include her mother, father, sister, and brother-in-law.
