She is known for her bubbly personality and ‘GC’ diva persona.

However, Gemma Collins was eliminated from Celebrity Masterchef on Friday night after her sea-bass dish did not meet the judges’ expectations, especially since she served it on grease-proof paper.

The TOWIE personality, 37, was unable to advance to the semi-finals and was labeled a ‘nightmare’ by head-chef Frank due to her decision to seek assistance from two sous chefs. Meanwhile, viewers flooded Twitter with reviews of her performance.

During the first round, the television personality partnered up with Stefanie Reid and was asked to prepare beef fillet with bacon, Bearnaise sauce, straw potatoes and buttered rainbow chard by judges Greg Wallace and John Torode.

Ahead of the task, in which the pair were separated by a divide relying on their conversational skills to ensure their dishes turned out the same, she said: ‘I’m sick to the core. I feel very nervous about this but I’m going to smash it. Watch this space.’

Despite curdling the Bearnaise sauce and asking if egg yolks were the ‘yellow’ bits, the judges applauded the television personality and Stephanie for their efforts.
