Sophie Habboo’s influencer sister, Georgia, has spoken out about the rumors concerning social media restrictions in Dubai that arose following Iranian missile strikes.

Georgia, 33, was vacationing in the UAE with her husband, Tom Berry, and their 16-month-old daughter, Bella, when Iran initiated a series of retaliatory attacks across the Middle East in response to US airstrikes.

On Tuesday, Georgia shared her concerns on Instagram, expressing her anxiety about returning to the UK after multiple flight cancellations. She also responded to fans’ inquiries about whether social media limitations had been imposed.

The rumors gained traction as a number of influencers posted images of Dubai’s leader, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with the reassuring phrase, “I know who protects us.”

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Georgia admitted she panicked about how she was going to return to the UK, after several flights were cancelled and answered fans’ questions if social media restrictions were in place.

The speculation started after an army of content creators shared images of Dubai leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, while posting the seemingly reassuring words, ‘I know who protects us’.

When asked if there were any restrictions, Georgia said: ‘Not that I knew of! I just personally didn’t want to be on social media as it was making me anxious.’

Another follower asked how she managed to return to the UK, Georgia replied: ‘We just booked a new flight (did a couple that got cancelled) and eventually one was one that went ahead!

‘And the first night it all happened it was very scary to be honest and the next day too. That first night I literally didn’t sleep at all! But strangely we did get used to the circumstances very quickly tbh. My main panic was not knowing how and when we get home.’

When asked by a fan if it was her first time flying business, Georgia replied: ‘It was our first time flying business long haul with Bella and we flew back economy (because our original flight was cancelled).

It was a lot easier on the way out more because in economy we were in a row with someone else and there just less room for Bella to move about! That being said, emirates economy is pretty good – it’s literally just the physical space that does make a lot of difference.’

UAE claims Iran has fired 238 ballistic missiles at their territory since the US-Israeli strikes began, with 221 destroyed and only two reaching their destination.

However, Iran has also used its ‘suicide drones’ to launch attacks on the Emirates.

A night drone attack on two of Dubai’s most upmarket areas left one man dead and two residential skyscrapers in flames on Saturday.

Smoke plumed from the 88-storey 23 Marina tower building near Dubai Marina after it was hit by the debris from an intercepted Iranian drone.

When asked if there were any restrictions, Georgia said: 'Not that I knew of! I just personally didn't want to be on social media as it was making me anxious'

Later, it emerged that a Pakistani driver was killed after material fell on his vehicle following a drone attack on the 19-storey Azayez Tower in the upmarket Al Barsha area.

Dubai International Airport was also forced to close on Saturday after a suspected Iranian drone strike triggered a huge explosion near the complex, with passengers ordered off planes.
