Digital artist BossLogic has created a new piece of fanart that uses artificial intelligence to create a Batman that must be seen to be believed.
A stunning piece of fan art demonstrates why Batman is the scariest superhero on the planet. Artist BossLogic has developed an absolutely terrifying image of Batman using artificial intelligence that will make any fan shudder.
When Bruce Wayne decided to become a crimefighter, he realised that criminals are “a fearful and superstitious people,” and that he needed to be something that scared them. Bruce adopted the iconography after being inspired by a stray bat that flew into his study, and went on to become one of the most fearsome heroes in the DC Universe.
While he isn’t particularly frightening, his proclivity for lurking in the shadows has given rise to a number of urban legends about “the Bat” in Gotham. The mere fact that the Dark Knight exists deters many potential criminals from even considering committing a crime.
One exceptional digital artist has caught the dread that Batman seeks to transmit better than anybody else in a new painting. “Ai Generated #Batman art,” BossLogic wrote on Twitter, beside a painting depicting a particularly dark Batman. The image is a terrifying jumble of armour, spikes, and metal smashed together to form Batman’s face. As his eyes flare red and his mouth opens like a black hole with nothing inside, bat wings spread behind him. He looms over another Batman, who is dressed in a huge, heavily armoured Batsuit and marches through a crimson downpour. Anyone unfortunate enough to cross Batman’s path will be terrified by his otherworldly white eyes.
According to fans, BossLogic nailed it, and he received approximately 10,000 likes and retweets in addition to the positive remarks. Artificial intelligence (AI) art typically use systems that evaluate hundreds of photos in order to achieve the artist’s desired aesthetic. Clearly, BossLogic was going for scary, and he may have succeeded in recreating the vision that Gotham criminals have in their heads when they hear about Batman’s stories.
It’s difficult to conceive what it would be like if there was a vigilante that hunted out nighttime criminals. However, it’s easy to imagine how quickly urban tales spread. One tragic experience is all it takes for a tale to go viral, and the image of a bat-like man would undoubtedly take on a terrifying shape in the imaginations of many. Artists in the DC Universe might try to reconstruct what the Dark Knight looks like based on the fearful testimonies of Gotham’s criminals, as seen in BossLogic’s painting. Although Batman isn’t always frightening, BossLogic’s work of fan art developed with artificial intelligence demonstrates how frightening the hero can be.
