It’s been just over two months since the Season 2 finale of Tracker aired, and Sundays haven’t been quite the same without the latest episodes of Justin Hartley’s popular survivalist drama.
Season 2, Episode 20 of Tracker premiered on May 11, featuring Colter (Hartley) coming back home for a job, visiting his mother Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson), and discovering shocking details about the tragic death of his father Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen).

Though CBS often airs Tracker reruns on Sunday nights, if you tune in to CBS tonight, Sunday, July 13, 2025, hoping to see Justin Hartley, you’re out of luck. There’s no new Tracker episode premiering tonight and no reairing. Instead, CBS will be airing an episode of FBI from 9:00 p.m. ET to 10:00 p.m. ET.
How Many Episodes Are In Tracker Season 2?
While there were only 13 episodes in Tracker Season 1, Tracker Season 2 consisted of 20 episodes, so as noted, Season 2, Episode 20, “Echo Ridge” was the sophomore season finale.
Will There Be A Tracker Season 3 On CBS?
You bet! On February 20, 2025, CBS renewed the popular survivalist drama for Season 3, which means Tracker is set to return with new episodes in the future. In February, CBS reported that Tracker hit over 18 million multiplatform viewers, a four percent increase from the previous year. And on May 7, 2025, CBS claimed another big win when Tracker took the top spot in the network’s 2024-2025 season, averaging 17.5 million broadcast and streaming viewers per episode, according to a 35-day Nielsen streaming report. So it’s clear why CBS was eager to renew the hit series!
When Will Tracker Return With New Episodes On CBS? Everything We Know About Tracker‘s Season 3 Premiere Date:
As of Sunday, July 13, an official Tracker Season 3 premiere date had yet to be announced, but we do know CBS confirmed the series will return during the 2026-2027 broadcast season.
Tracker Season 1 aired from February to May 2024, but was only 13 episodes. And Tracker‘s 20-episode Season 2 aired from October 2024 to May 2025. Considering the sophomore season’s success, CBS may want to opt for another fall premiere date. But we’ll have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.
