In a candid conversation with People, Jennifer, who also shares a three-year-old son named Cy with her husband, Cooke Maroney, discussed her journey. “I didn’t really experience severe postpartum anxiety until my second child,” she admitted. “That experience added a whole new layer for me.” She expressed that while having children isn’t a prerequisite for playing a parent, understanding a child’s needs provided invaluable insight for her performance.

In another revelation, the Oscar-winning actress recounted an unexpected challenge on the set of “Die My Love.” Director Lynne Ramsay, 55, tasked Lawrence and her co-star, Robert Pattinson, 39, with performing an interpretive dance—naked—on their first day of filming. Jennifer shared this surprising experience during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show last month, describing her initial shock at the unusual request.

‘I mean, I don’t think that you have to have kids to play a parent by any means, but having that information about, you know, what a tiny person needs, and is looking for. Just having that information was helpful.’

‘Robert and I had to do interpretative dance lessons together. We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn’t really know each other, so it was totally humiliating.

‘Then on the first day of filming, she asked whether we remembered what we did and asked if we would do it naked!’

When other guests on the show – including singing legend Bruce Springsteen, 76, and actress Tessa Thompson, 42 – quizzed her about the scene, Lawrence quipped: ‘Should I have said no? You all seem quite shocked.’

Elsewhere, she previously admitted that she suffered self-doubts before giving birth to Cy, not knowing what to expect from motherhood or how she would cope with raising him.
