Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams’ former wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, alleges that the judge, who recently granted Jesse sole legal custody over their children’s medical decisions, neglected to examine her evidence prior to rendering the decision, In Touch can exclusively reveal.

Following Jesse’s attainment of sole legal custody concerning their children’s healthcare on March 28, Aryn, aged 43, proceeded to file an affidavit in court, a document which was accessed by In Touch.

According to initial reports by In Touch, a hearing on March 20 addressed Jesse’s appeal for an amendment to their custody agreement. Jesse had been advocating for an equal 50/50 custody, asserting that their children desired increased time with him.

The actor also demanded information on Aryn’s new boyfriend. He also asked for sole legal custody when it came to their two children’s medical decisions.

Aryn agreed with parts of Jesse’s requests, including him having more custody, but said she did not want the kids spending time with third parties when Jesse was out of town. She said she should have the kids instead of a nanny or friend.

Aryn also accused Jesse of bullying her with threats to take her to court, if she didn’t agree with certain requests. She claimed he had no right to demand more information about her partner and opposed his request for sole legal custody.

At the hearing, the exes presented a parenting plan where they will share physical custody with alternating weeks. Jesse was awarded sole legal custody “of the minor children as to their healthcare.”

Jesse’s request for information on Aryn’s boyfriend was denied, but Aryn was ordered to return an Apple Watch the actor purchased for their daughter.

In her new filing, Aryn claimed the judge presiding over the case refused to allow her to hand deliver to him evidence and proof “contradicting” Jesse’s position “related to his request to be given full medical custody.”

Aryn said she had copies of dental and medical reports, which she said proved her position, but claimed “his honor … refused to let them be read aloud, nor introduced into evidence.”

She claimed the decision stripping her of legal custody was made on “untruths and hearsay” from both Jesse and his lawyer.

“There are not any current, nor any previous for that matter, emergency medical conditions for either child requiring urgent care. There was never any refusal of necessary care made by [Aryn],” her motion read.

Aryn said despite there being no actual evidence against her, the judge “still decided to give this very serious sole custodial decision making privilege” to Jesse.

She said the judge also denied her request to let her take care of the kids, instead of third parties, when Jesse is out of town during his custodial time.

Aryn accused the judge of being “complicit in denying” her kids’ constitutional right to due process under the law when he failed to give her the chance to respond in court. In her motion, she attached a series of emails that she claims back up her side of things. A hearing has been set for later this year.

As In Touch previously reported, in his initial motion for legal custody, filed last year, Jesse wrote, “The children and I are crazy about each other, and we have a deeply loving active and closely bonded relationship. There is absolutely no reason why Aryn should have more custodial time with the children than me.”

“They almost always ask me how many days they will be with me week to week and if they can ‘just stay longer.’ I moved to a home only 15 minutes from Aryn to make transitions as easy as possible but even with proximity, the number of transitions is unnecessarily challenging for our children and causes unnecessary interactions between me and Aryn,” Jesse added.

In her response, Aryn slammed her ex-husband and his legal team.

She accused Jesse and his lawyers of bullying her regularly by “making demands and threats to take” her to court and filing emergency motions if she doesn’t comply with his demands.

Jesse denied the claims he bullied Aryn.

Jesse said she was the problem.

He told the court, “Aryn’s unhinged and toxic behaviors happen everywhere and anytime: screaming in the street in front of our homes, taking the children from school on my days, ambushing doctors at appointments, withholding the children’s passports so they can’t travel with me, lying about timing and locations of the children’s sports and recitals so I miss them or arrive late.”

The case is ongoing.
