Jimmy Kimmel Jokes That Elon Musk And President Trump’s New Feud Is Like “Diddy vs. R. Kelly”: “I’m Not Sure Who To Root For”

Jimmy Kimmel could not help but gloat over President Trump and Elon Musk’s newfound feud on Live this week.

The late-night host talked about Musk’s “very nasty” remarks attacking Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill, labeling it a “disgusting abomination” on X.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk expressed. “This enormous, outrageous, pork-laden Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

This new drama left the late night host wondering who he should “root for” in the end.

“Trump versus Elon, I’m not sure who to root for,” he joked. “It’s like Diddy versus R. Kelly.”

While continuing to criticize Musk for his support of Trump during his campaign and presidency, he also highlighted recent reports claiming that Musk was using ketamine and psychedelics while collaborating with the administration.

“Boy, when he’s off the ketamine he’s a lot less fun,” Kimmel quipped.

But Kimmel agreed with Musk’s sentiment overall.

“He’s right, shame on those who voted for it. Who bankrolled those people who voted for it?” he then asked, until a headline about Musk donating a whopping $288 million during the 2024 election reminded him just who may have bankrolled this. “I want the name of whoever – oh, it’s his name.”

Kimmel did not let up as he continued to roast Musk for the role he’s played in Trump’s administration.

“For Elon Musk to call it a disgusting abomination is really saying something because this is the man who created this disgusting abomination,” he added, showing a photo of a Cybertruck.

He also added that Musk should have seen it coming. “Were you not paying attention when Trump said he was going to run the country like one of his businesses?” Kimmel said.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
