JoJo Siwa recently found herself overcome with emotion as her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, embarked on a journey back to the UK, expressing that parting ways never becomes any less painful.

The 22-year-old American singer and dancer has been romantically involved with Chris, a 33-year-old Love Island alum, since they crossed paths on Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025. While Chris resides in the UK, JoJo calls the U.S. home.

The couple frequently travels between their respective countries, but JoJo has admitted that the distance feels more challenging with each separation.

They enjoyed a brief reunion in Los Angeles earlier this month to celebrate her brother Jayden’s wedding. Unfortunately, Chris had to return to the UK shortly afterward due to work commitments.

A fan account on TikTok recently captured JoJo in tears while sitting in the backseat of a car, a familiar scene as she often shares emotional moments each time Chris departs.

JoJo expressed her feelings candidly, stating, “It becomes increasingly difficult. It never, ever becomes easier.”

The fan account wrote: ‘This breaks my heart to see after the best week’, which sent fans into a spiral over the challenges the couple face while living thousands of miles away from each other.

One commented: ‘She’s crying because Chris has had to go back to London for work’

‘If one doesn’t make the move, they won’t last unfortunately’; ‘Wait, they broke up?’; ‘Long distance is so so hard’; ‘she is so real for this an I 100% respect that’.

‘Hang on to each other. What don’t kill u makes u stronger. Hopefully this even strengthen your relationship in the end and yall will work out decisions to move together that will work for you both.’ [sic]

JoJo recently admitted she was ‘lost’ before going on CBB as she reflected on the time since meeting her boyfriend Chris.

Now, the former Dance Moms star has said she ‘loves Chris more than life itself’ as she gave an update.

Alongside a gallery of photos from CBB, she wrote: ’10 months ago I entered the house that changed my life for forever.

‘Three weeks with some of the best strangers I’ve ever met, three weeks of letting loose having fun, and three weeks of not even realizing it, but finding myself and comfort and pride within myself.’

They have been travelling back and forth between the UK and the States to see one another, she is finding it harder to be away from Chris as time passes

She continued: ‘Right around a year ago, I knew I was lost in who I was, but I wasn’t sure how to fix it and find who I was, I don’t know if that makes sense but if you think about it on a deep level, it will make sense.

‘A love greater than one can imagine, a bond strong stronger than I knew was possible. Where it began’.

The couple have already described each other as ‘the one,’ with JoJo now saying that starting a family with Chris is her ‘destiny’.

Speaking in an interview, she explained how they have spoken about children and discussed her plans.

JoJo said: ‘I have names that I really, really like and that I’ve spoken to him about. But I’ve never said them publicly.

‘But now that we’re this much further along, I have a relationship with his family. He has a relationship with my family. It just feels like destiny.’
