Katie Price and her spouse, Lee Andrews, are adamant that their return to the UK is imminent, even as rumors swirl about Lee’s alleged travel restrictions from the UAE. The couple, fresh from their honeymoon in Dubai, dismiss these claims.
The 47-year-old former glamour model surprised her followers by marrying the businessman, who is 43, after just a whirlwind romance lasting a week in Dubai last month.
On Monday, the couple took to Lee’s Instagram to announce that their return to England is just days away, playfully warning their fans to brace themselves for their arrival.
Controversy surrounds Lee, who has been accused of spending three weeks in a Dubai jail over allegations of forging his ex-girlfriend’s signature for a £200,000 loan. These allegations suggest he is barred from leaving the UAE, which he denies, yet his current location remains unchanged.
Sources revealed to the Daily Mail that Lee supposedly secured a £200,000 mortgage in the name of his former partner, personal trainer Dina Taji, without her consent last year.
In a video, Lee affectionately referred to Katie as his “sweet little wife,” while she called him her “husband,” reassuring their audience, “We’re still in Dubai, but we’ll be heading to England very soon.”
Katie Price and husband Lee Andrews have insisted they will be jetting to the UK following their Dubai honeymoon, despite claims the businessman is banned from leaving the UAE
Taking to Lee’s Instagram Stories on Monday the newlyweds told fans that they would be flying back ‘within days’ and joked that England should ‘watch out’
‘Within a day right?’ he asked, to which she replied: ‘Watch out England we’re coming’.
Earlier this month Lee denied claims he had been banned from leaving the UAE and posted a screenshot from the MOI UAE App which has features like paying traffic fines, renewing driver’s licences and criminal status checks.
He had the screen on the ‘travel bans’ option which read: ‘No travel bans’.
He said: ‘There’s no travel ban, directly from the police UAE application and it’s my profile so you can check those statuses, fines related to traffic and also if you’re allowed to travel so allow me to share that. It’s not fabricated.
‘I’m going on my honeymoon in a few days guys so definitely not on a travel ban. I’m in the happiest moment of my life so I’m forward to going with my person, my human, on my honeymoon’ – however the couple have seemingly remained in Dubai.
He added: ‘It is exclusive so I can’t talk about it. I know I’m probably the most hated man in Britain, but half this stuff is not even true.’
Lee’s ex Dina found out about his tactics after receiving a phone call from the mortgage company, sparking her decision to file a legal case against him.
According to Dubai law, individuals pending criminal investigations, including unpaid debts or civil lawsuits, are not legally allowed to leave the country.
It comes after he shared a Ai mock up of what the couple’s future ‘family home’ will look like on Instagram on Sunday
The woman reported him to the authorities in Dubai who investigated her claim.
It is unknown at what stage the investigation is at – but Lee was subject to the travel ban preventing him from leaving Dubai while the case was open.
It comes after he shared a glimpse of what the couple’s future ‘family home’ will look like on Instagram on Sunday.
Katie has reportedly purchased a home with Lee, ‘putting down a deposit and signing the contract’ this week.
The AI-generated mock-up of a three-storey mansion features bedrooms for guests, children and their parents as well as his and her cars.
Her family have shared their fears over Katie ‘splashing the cash’ on the home, reportedly saying they are ‘anxious this is a potential scam’.
A source told The Sun that Katie has put money down on a home with Lee in the UAE, with the contract signed.
‘She is really excited and thinks she is going to have her happy ending with Lee but those close to Katie fear this could be the start of a potential scam,’ they said.
The source added that when Katie returned to Dubai she was meant to come home after two days but has yet to.
They said: ‘Katie says she is busy planning her new life with Lee and has splashed the cash on this property – but it’s making her closest friends and family anxious.
‘They’re concerned about his motives and that is only natural given what some of his ex partners have said.’
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Katie for comment.
