Keith Urban’s guitarist Maggie Baugh vowed eight years ago to never date a band mate under any circumstances.
But now it seems the 26-year-old musician has managed to catch the eye of a man she has hit the stage with: Nicole Kidman’s estranged husband Urban.
In a 2017 video that was dug up by fans, Baugh said dating other band members was not a good idea, no matter how cute.
That’s because if the romance falls apart, everyone gets affected by it and the tour doesn’t do as well.
Urban and Baugh appeared to have developed a closer on-stage rapport recently; however, the brunette was absent from his Pennsylvania concert, possibly to reduce speculation.
But TMZ has claimed Baugh is not a full time member of the band as she was just stepping in for Natalie Stovall.
Meanwhile on Monday Baugh shared on social media that she has an ‘announcement’ coming soon.

But now it appears the 26-year-old musician has caught the attention of Nicole Kidman’s estranged husband, Urban, with whom she shared the stage. This was seen in 2024.

This comes after Urban made a lyric change to his breakup anthem You’ll Think of Me at his Pennsylvania concert last week.
It was his first show since news he split from his wife of 19 years, Kidman.
Adding his own spin, he altered the line: ‘Take your space and take your reasons,’ to say: ‘Take your bulls*** reasons,’ as reported by Us Weekly.
In the wake of the divorce news, past clips have resurfaced of Urban’s cozy onstage antics with guitarist Baugh, fueling romance rumors about them.
In one clip, he gestured towards Baugh while singing: ‘I was born to love you’ in Las Vegas. Additionally, in Chicago, he altered a lyric from ‘Baby I’ll be the fighter’ to ‘Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.’
Urban and Baugh first met last year in 2024 when he invited her to perform with him during the CMT Music Awards.
He then asked her to join him as a utility guitarist – which she opened up about during an interview with Pittsburgh Music Magazine back in April.
‘Working with Urban was like going to rock star school. He is a musical encyclopedia,’ she told the outlet.
Urban was without his wedding band when he hit the stage at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of the ongoing tour.

In a 2017 video rediscovered by fans, Baugh mentioned that dating within the band wasn’t advisable, regardless of how attractive they may be. The potential fallout from a failed romance could affect everyone and hinder the tour’s success.

Urban and Baugh seemed to have been getting closer on stage, but she was missing from his Pennsylvania concert, hinting at efforts to quell rumors. However, TMZ noted Baugh is not a permanent band member, having temporarily filled in for Natalie Stovall.

While performing the 2024 track Heart Like a Hometown during Thursday’s concert, Urban paid a bizarre tribute to his estranged wife, as he chose to keep a photo of Kidman and their teenage daughters in a slideshow that played for the crowd.
He then opened up to his fans about his childhood and how his parents allowed him to drop out of school so he could pursue his passion for music full-time, per People.
Urban also notably dropped his 2016 song The Fighter from the setlist on Thursday – a track that is said to be inspired by his now estranged wife.
It comes only days after his split from Kidman came to light – with the Oscar winner, 58, officially filing for divorce on Tuesday. They have two children: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
The former couple first crossed paths in 2005 and became engaged in May 2006.
The following month, the stars said ‘I do’ at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in Sydney, Australia.

Kidman filed for divorce a week ago and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the shock separation; seen in 2017
Urban and Kidman were last publicly seen together back in June of this year when they attended the FIFA World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Australian-American actress currently resides at their $4 million home in Nashville along with their two teenage children.
The actress was reportedly left ‘blindsided’ by the separation.
A source stated, ‘Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour. There was a lot of love between the two and they might not divorce, but there is a world that they both live where neither of them are in it.
‘Keith and Nicole have been together for decades and there is a world which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, it is not a couple.’
A separate source told People that the mom-of-four is ‘hurt’ and did not want their 19-year marriage to come to an end.
‘Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed. It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked,’ the insider said and added she ‘didn’t want this and has been fighting to save the marriage.’
According to divorce documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Kidman will become the primary residential parent of their two teenage daughters.
The estranged couple have agreed to an unusual parenting plan in which Nicole gets 306 days while Keith receives just 59 with their kids.
Elsewhere, the document specifies that Nicole and Keith will make major decisions regarding their daughters together, including educational and extracurricular activities.
Neither party will receive monthly child support as Keith has ‘already prepaid all child support obligations.’
Despite the divorce, both stars will still ‘provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the children.’
