Kelly Clarkson admits she doesn't know about Meghan Markle's Netflix show

Kelly Clarkson recently confessed that she is unfamiliar with Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix series, a surprising revelation given the show’s widespread coverage across media platforms.

During an interview with actor Brian Tyree Henry, Clarkson learned about the show as Henry described his camaraderie with his Panic Carefully co-star, Elizabeth Olsen. Their mutual interest in the Duchess of Sussex had brought them closer.

“Lizzie and I bond over watching shows that are a bit wild, and by that, we mean shows we genuinely enjoy. Right now, we’re obsessed with With Love, Meghan,” Henry shared during his appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Clarkson, visibly puzzled, asked, “What is that?” prompting Henry to clarify for the singer and talk show host.

He explained, “It’s the new show featuring Meghan Markle, or Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, where she’s taken on a role similar to Martha Stewart.”

‘The new Meghan Markle slash Meghan Duchess of Sussex show, where she’s also like Martha Stewart now,’ he explained.

‘And she’s created these things called flower sprinkles, which you apparently can put on anything that you want to eat, so Lizzie and I were like, “We need to get in the flower sprinkles game, like Meghan is onto something that we don’t know about,”‘ he continued.

‘I feel like I would love that show!’ Clarkson chimed in.

Since both Henry and Olsen love the show so much, he also revealed that Olsen bought him a jar of flower sprinkles for his wrap gift once the show finished.

However, that wasn’t the only surprise.

‘Not only that, because Meghan is bomb with calligraphy, okay, Meghan does her own calligraphy, Lizzie had her husband to the calligraphy… it’s a whole thing, so now we’ve started like a flower sprinkles game,’ Henry revealed to Clarkson.

‘We’re also trying to get on the show, but it’s unconventional, because our movie is kind of about the apocalypse, so wouldn’t it be cool if me you and Julia [Roberts] went on her show to do doomsday prep?’ he joked.

Clarkson asked him what meal he would cook on the show, to which he quipped, ‘flower sprinkles.’

His interview came just a few weeks after Meghan’s eight-episode series premiered on Netflix in early March.

With Love, Meghan, sees her hosting a variety of famous friends like comedian Mindy Kaling in the kitchen as they make meals together and create home décor, like beeswax candles.

It has already been renewed for a second season on the streaming platform.

Other items included a limited-edition honey for $28 and a $14 crepe and shortbread cookie mix.

Launching the long-awaited line, Meghan told her followers in a newsletter that it’s a ‘love language’ rather than a brand.

In a gushing message to her followers, she wrote: ‘If you’ve been receiving these newsletters, you’ve been reading my musings about this brand and why it means so much to me – why it’s personal, why it brings me joy, and how I hope that it becomes both personal and joyful for you too.

‘You’re now familiar with the line-up of products, and as of today you can order them for yourself to experience at home. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

‘Welcome to As Ever… this is just the beginning!’
