Kim Kardashian is making a conscious effort to rise above the ongoing chaos linked to her former spouse, Kanye West. According to an insider exclusively talking to In Touch, her main priority is ensuring a peaceful and drama-free environment for her four children.
While the “Stronger” artist, 47, once again finds himself in the midst of public controversy, the 44-year-old reality TV icon strives to shield their shared children — North, 11, Chicago, 7, Saint, 9, and Psalm, 5 — from his erratic comments that are circulating in interviews and on social media. “Even though she and her family are deeply concerned, no one is allowed to talk about Kanye or the current events when the kids are present,” the insider reveals. This rule extends to others who might want to criticize Kim’s ex around her household, which many family members are tempted to do considering his behavior lately.
“There’s certainly no trash talking allowed, the last thing she wants is for her kids to suffer added trauma,” the insider explains.
Alongside promoting controversial merchandise, labeling himself a Nazi, donning outfits resembling the KKK, and showing erratic behavior that appears to be a mix of seeking attention post-album release and a genuine mental health episode, Kanye recently made shocking claims that most parents would find unimaginable — declaring publicly that he never wanted to have children.
“I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with them, but that wasn’t God’s plan,” Ye told podcaster DJ Akademiks. He went on to rail against the “Kardashian Mob” he claimed made his life hell during their eight-year marriage, which lasted from 2014 to 2022.
“It’s absolutely horrifying, and she won’t be able to shield them from this forever, but they’re still young and she’s doing her best,” the source says of Kim’s efforts to protect the children. “So that means she’s limiting social media, the news is not turned on, she’s trying to keep them busy and just sticking to the routine as usual.”

According to the source, despite Kanye’s antics, Kim is stressing over her ex’s wellbeing as the whole world leers at his implosion.
“Watching Kanye in such a terrible stage and not having anyone step in to help him is so devastating. She’s completely beside herself with where this is headed. All she can do right now is try her best to keep this from her kids so they can remain innocent for as long as possible.”
