SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Chatham Area Transit (CAT) Headquarters became a place of remembrance and solace on Friday night as family, friends, and community members gathered for a candlelight vigil. They came to honor Dianne Morral, a local woman whose life was tragically cut short following a bus accident.

Morral succumbed to her injuries earlier this week after the accident on Skidaway Road, which occurred on October 18. Her untimely death has left a void in the community, prompting many to come together on East Gwinnett Street to pay their respects. With candles in hand, attendees shared cherished memories and offered heartfelt support to Morral’s grieving family.

“She was the life of the party,” said her sister, Alana Roberts. “When she entered a room, you felt her presence instantly. She was the light in any room, the star in the sky, and her laughter was contagious. Dianne was not only an incredible mother and hardworking individual but also an amazing sister.”

While the loss of Morral is deeply felt, those who gathered found comfort in celebrating the joy and positivity she brought into their lives. The vigil served as a poignant reminder of the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her.

While her passing is a tragedy, those who attended said coming together helped them celebrate the impact she had on everyone around her.
