Lana Del Rey and husband, Jeremy Dufrene, did not shy away from acting like newlyweds while making their debut on the Paris fashion circuit over the weekend.

Although the pair did not refrain from spotted kissing and cuddling at Valentino spring 2026 show in Paris on Sunday, body language expert, Judi James, revealed to The Daily Mail the couple was not putting on any kind of show for the cameras.

‘Jeremy doesn’t look like your average show-pony A-lister’s husband but that’s probably why he and Lana make such a cute-looking couple,’ the expert observed to The Daily Mail. ‘She even yells out to the fans: “Isn’t my husband so cute?”, showing him off with a very self-satisfied smile.’

She went on to note that ‘Lana looks completely happy here and, against the odds in terms of the “gator out of water” vibe of bringing Jeremy out of the Bayou and into the rarefied and often surreal air of the Paris catwalks, he looks pretty happy too.’

Del Rey’s body language, James said, suggested pride and affection throughout the event.

‘Lana is so busy showing him off, even trying to pull his jacket closed for the red carpet photos (and failing when it doesn’t meet but still looking happy enough about it), her rituals are mainly about suggesting proud ownership and a flirty attraction to her husband, from the way her hand is placed on top in the clasp as they walk together to her flirty close-up gaze as they stand together primed for the traditional kiss for the cameras.’

Dufrene, meanwhile, didn’t shy away from affection either.

‘Far from looking reticent, Jeremy throws some enthusiasm into his kiss, with a rather convincing, full-on locking of lips, although the way he keeps his hands stuffed into his pockets suggests he has his limits in terms of anything uncool and over-choreographed looking,’ the expert added.

And while he may prefer to keep things laid-back, his subtle gestures revealed plenty of warmth.

‘His response to Lana’s lingering close-up gaze hints he might be quietly besotted and it produces dimples, suggesting real, slightly soppy affection,’ James said.

She also remarked that Dufrene’s casual dress is ‘congruent with his more macho-looking poses but when he does link with Lana, we can see his hand either stroke down the small of her back or land on her hip and bum in a subtle, natural-looking gesture of physical attraction.’

The Grammy-nominated singer and Dufrene famously first crossed paths in 2019 when she took one of his swamp excursions.

They later reconnected and tied the knot last year.

Their latest sighting comes just weeks after Del Rey opened up about their marriage in a rare interview with W Magazine.

‘Like many people who work with large, dangerous beasts, Jeremy has a calm, strong presence,’ she told the outlet. ‘When we met, I realized pretty immediately that I loved him, but that it might get difficult because of what I was bringing to the table.’

Despite her concerns, she recalled Dufrene telling her, ‘I work with alligators—I have tough skin.’ And he is a man of his word. All the things that made me upset—and there were so many!—he would just listen and say, “You be you—and I’ll just love you more.”‘

After tying the knot in 2024, Del Rey says the scrutiny was intense and that drones flew over their home to get photos of their wedding and early days as newlyweds.

‘If I was him, I would have been nervous—my emotions were more overwhelming than usual, and my usual emotions can be quite overwhelming!’ she laughed. ‘But Jeremy was fine. He told me, “Don’t worry about me.”‘

When asked if she written any songs about her husband, the performer admitted that fans had already heard one that will be featured on her upcoming new album, Stove.

‘Stars Fell on Alabama. I open my show with that song—that’s it, so far,’ she said. ‘Jeremy is the most impactful person in my life. He’s quiet in public, but around me he talks all the time.’

The couple, she added, even share their own quirky ritual.

‘It’s strange: Jeremy and I have what we call “parking-lot time.” We spend so much time in parking lots, just reading or talking in the car. Sometimes, in life, you think you’re the only one in the world who loves a particular thing, like sitting in an empty Macy’s or Home Depot parking lot. You might be really weird to some people, but then you find another soul who feels the same way,’ she gushed.

Despite being one of the most acclaimed artists of her generation, Del Rey made clear she has no interest in writing a memoir.

‘Absolutely not,’ she told the outlet. ‘There have been too many personal things that I can’t talk about. Sometimes I think it’s a 50-50 split between people hating me and people respecting my work. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about that, but, to be honest, thinking too much about that is a lose-lose situation. Now I try to be positive: I had a dream of a giant family and a happy life. I had to quiet the noise to find love. And I did.’

As for embracing her husband’s line of work, the star said she has learned to adjust to being around his reptilian companions.

‘I was nervous at first, but Louisiana has nicer alligators than Florida,’ she joked. ‘Jeremy swims with the alligators! I swim in the bayou also, and the alligators are there, but I don’t swim alone.’

The couple tied the knot by the water in Des Allemands, Louisiana, the same spot where Dufrene runs his popular swamp tours.

Their wedding came just a month after Lana confirmed their relationship following a hush-hush romance.

In photos and videos obtained by DailyMail.com exclusively, the Born To Die hitmaker was seen being walked down the aisle by her father Robert Grant with a floral bouquet in hand.

After saying ‘I Do,’ Dufrene — a Louisiana native and divorced father-of-three — grabbed onto Lana’s hand as they made their way to the outdoor reception.

The newlyweds walked past one of Dufrene’s famous swamp air boats, which was tied to the dock and decorated with white flowers for the couple’s wedding.

Lana had first shared a photo with Dufrene in 2019 after taking one of his tours with Arthur’s Airboats.

‘It’s been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana’s close friends hoped she would get married,’ a source told DailyMail.com.

‘Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He’s a great guy.’

The insider added: ‘He’s charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman, and he treats Lana really well. She’s an old soul.’
