Things aren’t looking good for Lizzo. If the allegations in this new lawsuit filed by her dancers turn out to be true, she’s definitely in hot water. Could it be that she’s not be the ‘body-positive’ pop star that she claims to be?
Lizzo Did What?

The “Watch Out For The Big Grrrls” singer is being called out in a lawsuit by several of her former dancers for allegedly pressuring them to participate in an explicit show.
The Blast has learned that three of her dancers are taking legal action and have filed a complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming that they were treated like garbage by the singer and her crew and forced to endure the horrible treatment all while she is topping the charts.
The lawsuit describes behavoir that is certainly not who anyone thought Lizzo was, is, and continues to claim to be. In fact, the lawsuit says this goes “against everything Lizzo stands for publicly,” publicly being the key word here people.
Mean Girls On Display

Beware, some of what you read from here on out can be triggering for some.
Lizzo’s former dancers are accusing her of addressing their weight in a negative light. Attorney Rom Zambrano who is representing the former dancers says:
“Privately, she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing.” Some of the claimants called out Lizzo in the docs for the abusive sexual nature that took place behind the scenes.
Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez claimed they endured sexual and religious harassment and were severely mistreated by the singer and members of her close team.
Lizzo is named by her government name in the docs; Melissa Viviane Jefferson. The captain of her dance team, and her production company Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc. (BGBT), are also named in the suit.
“Ms. Quigley was not only vocal about her religious belief but took every opportunity to proselytize to any and all in her presence regardless of protestations,” alleges one complainant.
Virgin Dancer Was Called Out

One of the women alleges:
“Ms. Quigley discovered that [plaintiff] Ms. DAVIS was a virgin and Ms. DAVIS’s virginity became a topic of extreme importance to Ms. QUIGLEY. In the months to follow, Ms. QUIGLEY would routinely bring up Ms. DAVIS’s virginity in conversations with Ms. DAVIS. Ms. QUIGLEY even mentioned Ms. DAVIS’s virginity in interviews she participated in and later posted to social media, broadcasting an intensely personal detail about Ms. DAVIS to the world.”
Davis also allegedly tricked the dancers into an “uncomfortable” photo shoot where she and other dancers posed nude. She mentioned it was uncomfortable but that didn’t seem to phase any of the peeps in charge.
“Ms. Davis broke down in tears on set while struggling to choose between a once in a lifetime career opportunity and putting her body on display against her will.” And apparently, it got worse. “This experience foreshadowed the sexually charged and uncomfortable environment Lizzo’s employees would be forced to endure.”
Catching Adult Toys Was A Thing

In another abusive power move, Lizzo allegedly invited the Big Girl’s dance group out while on tour in February. They went to the Red Light District in Amsterdam and well, it got messy…
“While at Bananenbar, things quickly got out of hand. LIZZO began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas. LIZZO then turned her attention to Ms. DAVIS and began pressuring Ms. DAVIS to touch the breasts of one of the nude women performing at the club. LIZZO began leading a chant goading Ms. DAVIS. Ms. DAVIS said three times, loud enough for all to hear, ‘I’m good,’”
Of course, Lizzo and reps have denied the shock allegations but regardless, it’s not a good look for someone who is known for her body positivity, empowering people and just being super talented overall.
