The M62 has reopened after an earlier closure due to a single-vehicle collision. The road was blocked eastbound between Junction 30 and Junction 31 near Wakefield and Castleford following the collision, which was first reported at 11.30pm on Tuesday.
Traffic officers were at the scene to clear debris following the crash. Traffic information service Inrix reported a vehicle had overturned on the motorway.
In an update just before 2am on Wednesday, National Highways: North East said on Twitter: “All lanes are now open on the #M62 eastbound between J30 and J31 near #Castleford, following an earlier single vehicle collision. Delays of less than 10 minutes remain on the approach.
