A man was punched and knocked out in York city centre on Sunday evening.
The assault took place just outside the Turtle Bay bar on Little Stonegate shortly after 7pm. He was punched so hard that he fell to the ground where he remained unconscious for some time.
Immediately afterwards, the suspect raced off on foot along Little Stonegate and Blake Street.

As part of an ongoing investigation, North Yorkshire Police released a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident and are appealing for the public’s help to find him.
If you recognise the man pictured or have any further information about the assault, members of the public are being asked to call the police on 101, selecting option 2 and ask for York CID.
