Meghan Trainor has called off her nationwide Get In Girl Tour, which was scheduled to commence in just two months.
The 32-year-old artist, who has recently opened up about undergoing intensive therapy to strengthen her marriage, shared this unexpected news with her fans via Instagram stories on Thursday.
The singer, best known for her hit song “All About That Bass,” was initially set to launch the tour on June 12 in Michigan, with plans to perform at 32 additional venues across North America.
“After much introspection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the challenging decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,” Trainor explained in her message.
The All About That Bass hitmaker had been slated to begin the tour on June 12 in Michigan followed by an additional 32 dates across North America.
‘After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,’ Trainor wrote.
‘Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take right now,’ she further explained.
The music artist penned that she needs to prioritize being at ‘home and present’ for her loved ones.

‘I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down.’
Trainor added that cancelling the summer tour ‘is the right decision for my family and me right now.’
She sent a ‘promise’ to her fans that she plans to ‘be back soon’ and ‘can’t wait for you to hear this new record.’
The singer is set to drop her seventh studio album Toy With Me later this month on April 24.
‘I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always,’ Trainor concluded.
The Made You Look songstress initially announced The Get In Girl Tour last year in November and wrote at the time on social media: ‘GET IN GIRL, WE’RE GOING ON TOUR!! Can’t wait to see you! Let the countdown begin!’
She had been set to begin concerts on June 12 in Clarkston, Michigan before making stops in other cities such as Kansas City, St. Louis, Orlando, NYC, Chicago and San Francisco.
Her final concert was scheduled for August 15 in Los Angeles.

Trainor had previously opened up about what fans could have expected when it came to the tour.
‘I’m going to do dance lessons. I’m going to be very fit. We’re going to be jumping, dancing,’ she told People late last year.
‘It’s going to be a party, but it’s a party for everyone, for kids, for adults, for grandparents.’
The singer further expressed, ‘I love when I see grandparents in the crowd. I love when the dads sing every word. I go, “Yeah, dad.” It’s my favorite.’
