Morbius streamer , a Spider-Man spinoff starring Jared Leto, is streaming for free on Twitch, eliciting amusing fan reactions in the chat.

Morbius streams for free on Twitch for no apparent reason, eliciting amusing reactions in the community. Morbius is the third episode in Sony’s developing Spider-Man Universe, following Tom Hardy’s Venom and its sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which was released in theatres this past April 1. Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist whose attempts to cure himself of a rare blood disorder inadvertently infect him with a transgenic form of vampirism, giving him all of the superhuman abilities associated with blood-sucking creatures without any of the superstitious weaknesses, is introduced in the film.

As the title protagonist, a.k.a. the Living Vampire, Oscar winner and Suicide Squad star Jared Leto leads the Morbius cast, alongside Doctor Who’s Matt Smith as the major adversary, Milo, Morbius’ surrogate brother who suffers from the same uncommon blood disease. Dr. Emil Nicholas, Morbius and Milo’s mentor and father figure, is played by Jared Harris, while Martine Bancroft, Morbius’ colleague and love interest, is played by Adria Arjona. As two FBI agents on the hunt for Morbius, Tyrese Gibson of the Fast & Furious franchise and Al Madrigal round out the cast. Michael Keaton, who played Adrian Toomes/Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, makes a cameo appearance during the movie’s mid-credits scene.

Morbius Proves That A Sinister Six Film Doesn’t Require Origin Stories

The full Morbius streamer movie was mysteriously played on Twitch on loop for approximately 12 hours yesterday, and over 10,000 people watched it, with funny reactions flooding the chat. “It’s Morbin time,” and “Morbius Sweep” were spammed into the discussion by Twitter user @Radstads, who filmed the entire event and grabbed images of viewers’ reactions. Take a look at some of the tweets below to see what people are saying:

Morbius has been available on digital and on-demand since it left cinemas earlier this month, with Blu-ray and DVD to follow on June 14, but no one expected it to be streamed on Twitch. Of course, Columbia Pictures, a Sony division, owns the copyright of the Morbius film, and the Twitch stream was finally taken down for breaking the website’s terms of service. Nonetheless, the fact that the stream remained up for over six consecutive screenings shocked many, and it provided for an exciting experience for those who were able to tune in and watch the film with other Morbius fans.

Morbius streamer has an 18 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, making it one of the worst-reviewed Marvel films of all time, despite a modest $163 million worldwide box office return. It’s also become one of the year’s most popular movies online, creating a slew of Morbius memes from Marvel fans, some expressing true affection for the film and others mocking its lukewarm critical reception. Morbius’ appeal, like that of vampires, appears to be unstoppable.
