Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly made the decision to join Chelsea at the end of the season.

According to CBS Sports. Osimhen, who is currently representing Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), desires to play for Chelsea.

While Osimhen’s departure from Napoli during the January transfer window has been ruled out, it is widely anticipated that he will leave the Italian club in the summer.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed this, stating that he “knew” Osimhen would depart in the upcoming transfer window.

De Laurentiis mentioned Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and a Premier League club as potential destinations for the 25-year-old striker.

Italian Sacha Tavolieri suggests that Premier League club is Chelsea, who are reportedly seeking a high-profile striker ahead of next season.

Despite Osimhen’s reported preference for Chelsea, any move will depend on negotiations between the London club and Napoli.

Osimhen recently extended his contract with the Naples based club, which includes a release clause of over £100 million, meaning Chelsea will have to table a lot of cash for the potential swoop come this summer.
