Real Madrid are reportedly unwilling to meet Bayern Munich’s asking price for left-back Alphonso Davies this summer.

With Davies’ contract expiring in 2025, Real Madrid is prepared to wait a year for his signature if they cannot secure a deal they deem acceptable this summer.

Bayern Munich is said to be seeking €70 million for Davies, although other reports suggest a price tag of €50 million.

Real Madrid are planning to make a lower offer and does not intend to meet Bayern’s demands.

The Spanish club already has Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia under contract until 2025.

They also have the option to buy back Miguel Gutierrez from Girona for €8 million this summer, reducing the urgency to sign Davies.

Meanwhile, Bayern’s Sporting Director, Max Eberl, has indicated a willingness to discuss a sale, stating he does not want to lose players for free.

Davies’ agent is reportedly seeking €20 million per season to stay in Munich, up from a previously rumoured €14 million.

Despite Bayern’s efforts to renew his contract, Davies is said to have the intent on moving to Madrid sooner or later.
