The 90-day countdown is ticking for the 90 Day Fiancé season 11 couples. As they navigate awkward living arrangements and cultural differences, tensions rise, and in episode 7, the challenges of international love become more apparent than ever.

90 Day Fiance’s Sarper Has ‘Permission’ to Explore Shekinah’s Neighborhood

Shekinah Garner needed to meet with a client in her home-based beauty aesthetics business, which meant her fiancé, Sarper Güven, had to find something to occupy his time in their neighborhood.

“I’m allowed to walk around the neighborhood,” he humorously remarked to the cameras. When asked by the production team about Shekinah’s concerns over him resisting temptation, he confidently stated, “I can’t be tempted. Even if everyone shows off, I won’t be swayed. I just observe and move on.”

Shekinah believed having Sarper around during client sessions would be “unprofessional,” as clients often shared personal information and were sometimes in varying states of undress.

Sarper FaceTimed his parents and complained about the rules of their living situation, admitting, “I swear, if I didn’t love her, I wouldn’t do this.” However, he did tell his parents not to rent his apartment out yet — just in case.

“I love her, I have a very big passion with her, but if I cannot feel with home in this place, if I feel uncomfortable, there is no need for me to stay here,” the Turkey native said in a confessional. “Oh my God, a lot of things to decide.”

Sarper and Shekinah later went to have dinner with her friends, marking the personal trainer’s first time meeting them. “I’m really nervous about Sarper meeting my friends tonight,” the business owner told producers. “They’re a big part of my life. We do things together all the time, so if this doesn’t go well, it’s going to really affect our life in L.A. together.”

Shekinah had no concerns about Sarper getting along with most of her friends, but she hesitated about how he would interact with her friend Dan, who had recently confessed his feelings for her.

Dan immediately began questioning Shekinah about her relationship at the table, asking if the 90 day “trial period” was a chance for Sarper to stay longer should he not actually want to marry her.

Sarper felt Dan’s questions were him “trying to step” up on him and asked him if he ever dated Shekinah in the past.

Dan said they went out on a few dates together but never dated. However, he still felt he was “the better guy to be with.”

“You are not her type. You know, you look like a bad boy, but you are a good boy,” Sarper clapped back. Shekinah was surprised that Dan revealed this at the table but was impressed that Sarper was maintaining his composure.

“I just want you to really, like, take care of her because she means she means a lot to me,” Dan responded, before telling Sarper he was “full of shit” and leaving the table.

90 Day Fiance’s Mina and Jordan Agree to ‘Take Things Day by Day’

Mark Bessette and Aminata “Mina” Mack were dealing with the backlash of their explosive conversation with Mark’s daughter, Jordan. “Mina and my daughter Jordan finally met again for the first time since Paris, and it completely went sideways,” he told the cameras. “Mina disinvited Jordan to the wedding. Jordan doesn’t even want to come to the wedding. And right now, my daughter’s distraught, my fiancé’s distraught. There may or may not be a wedding. It just feels like problems are stacking up and it’s frustrating.”

The families were set to face each other again at the BBQ of one of Mark’s brothers. The evening got off to a rough start as Mina and Jordan started the outing by ignoring each other.

“I think me, and Mina had a rough start and we got into an argument, and I feel like she should be the one that’s having to try more harder than me because she’s marrying my dad,” Jordan told the cameras. “You would think that she wants to make a good impression and wants to be the one trying and getting to know me.”

Although Mark just wanted everyone to get along, Mina reiterated that she felt Jordan was “a snake.”

Jordan eventually broke the silence with her future stepmother, hoping to try to make things better between them. The pair agreed to “take it day by day and see how things go.”

Mina, Mark, and Maria arrived at Mark’s family home, where his sister–in-law immediately admitted that she didn’t “have the best impression” of Mina.

“The first night was OK. She cooked for us. We were in a small place, so she had to be around us, but we just never felt welcome. We never felt like she wanted us there,” she explained of when the family visited Paris for Mark and Mina’s daughter Maria’s christening. “The next day, like for the actual event she was four hours late and she had taken the time to like tell her friends that it was going to start later and other people, but she did not tell us, which kind of sucked.”

Mark’s brother agreed that the situation bothered him and understood why Jordan was frustrated. He added that he was surprised when Mark didn’t let Mina know that she was being rude.

Mark felt his family was siding with his daughter and was ultimately “not supporting” his choice to marry Mina. Jordan asked Mark if they considered a prenup, which prompted Mina to ask Mark if he felt that she was only in their relationship for the money.

Mark said no, but the damage was already done as she walked in tears.

90 Day Fiance’s Joan Isn’t Happy Living in America With Greg

Joan Kruchov’s first week in America with Gregory “Greg” Chillak had been “mostly great,” but she did say there were things she was already getting a “little frustrated with.” Meanwhile, Greg joked about having an additional woman apart from his mother to “nag and bicker” at him.

Joan FaceTimed her family and told them how the couple could be living with Greg’s mother for two years, not the three to six months that she had anticipated.

Joan’s family encouraged Greg to get a job and asked what he said about her dowry, which was required if he wanted to marry her. “I haven’t really talked to Greg about the dowry issue because we still have like our personal issues,” she replied. “So, I don’t know how he’s really going to pay for the dowry because he’s not financially stable for now.”

Greg and Joan’s sex life depends on his mother’s schedule, as they immediately got between the sheets once she announced she was leaving for work.

“So when it comes to intimacy and making love and I don’t, I don’t want things to feel like they are scheduled, you know, like, oh, mom’s going to be working from three to two or something. But it’s like, it is what it is. I have to deal with it. It’s like, Oh my God, like I have all this energy and all this, this, this testosterone just built up and s–t.”

Joan said she enjoyed their time together, but it was “killing me to stay here for two years,” adding, “You know, I feel like if you don’t want to get a job, I want to go back to Uganda.”

Joan continued to urge Greg to apply for jobs as he found her bride price was “15 cows,” which was the equivalent of $3,000.

90 Day Fiance’s Alliya and Shawn Work Things Out

Alliya de Batista was set to meet Shawn Finch’s friend Angela soon after her arrival from Brazil. The meeting didn’t get off to a positive start as Angela explained she only mostly heard about “Douglass,” which was the name of her former identity as Alliya is a trans woman.

“About six months ago, I remember him saying that Douglas had changed into Aaliyah permanently,” Angela explained in a confessional of Shawn. “And he was kind of like trying to wrap his mind around it because it’s a big change, obviously.”

Angela continued to use Alliya’s deadname, which frustrated Alliya. “I did not correct her because I didn’t want to be rude. According to the Oxford Dictionary, deadnaming is when somen calls (a transgender person) by their birth name when they have changed their name as part of their gender transition.

“I did not correct her because I didn’t want to be rude. And sometimes I just feel like frozen and I, I don’t know, like how to react, but I wish I could,” she said.

Shawn later asked Alliya how it went with meeting Angela, where she brought up her deadnaming issue. Shawn seemingly didn’t take her complaints seriously as he also continued to use her deadname.

Alliya and Shawn went shopping, where she called him out for deadnaming her. “I’m not quite ready to act like Douglas never existed,” Shawn responded back, however, he admitted that he didn’t know it made her feel uncomfortable.

“One of my big fears with being with somebody who’s transitioning is that I feel like I’m somehow part of the problem because I represent something from the past that you don’t want to think about,” Shawn told the cameras. “There’s pictures, there’s video, there’s memories that I cherish that now need to be hidden and deleted and discarded. And am I part of that need to discard?”

The pair later had a conversation during dinner where Shawn said he went “through a period of mourning for Douglass” but was attracted to Alliya’s “inner light.”

“It just feels homey and comfortable, and we can have an argument and it doesn’t seem hateful,” the hairstylist explained. “We can say nothing, and it doesn’t seem strange. And those things are all outside the box of sex and gender.”

Shawn agreed to “roll with the changes,” and the pair agreed to move forward.

90 Day Fiance’s Jessica and Juan Move Forward After Hurting Each Other

Jessica Parsons and Juan David Daza were reeling after discovering their secrets about each other. Jessica learned that Juan had slept with another woman while Jessica had been speaking with her ex. The couple understood they hurt each other, but it was because both felt the distance and felt lonely.

“What happened yesterday with Jessica’s friends and then this ex-boyfriend thing,” Juan said in a confessional. “I have realized that we have kept secrets in between us in this relationship and now that I’m here this just can’t keep on going and we need to work things out.”

Although Juan was comfortable in his new home, she worried about him not being happy living a “normal life.”

“I do want to live with my son and I do love you so much and I and I’m just ready for this life,” he responded.
