College may be winding down for the year, but it’s already time to go back to school on Prime Video with the new comedy series Overcompensating.
Overcompensating is a series created, written, and starring Benito Skinner, better known as Benny Drama online. The show draws from his own experiences and centers on Benny (Skinner), a closeted ex-football player coming to terms with his sexuality, alongside Carmen (Wally Baram), an outsider striving to fit in. The series delves into “the extremes people go to while discovering their true selves.”
Charli XCX is among the executive producers on the series, and the “Brat” songstress will also appear in an episode of the eight-episode season.

From A24, Overcompensating is a new comedic series premiering on May 15 at 3 a.m. ET. All eight episodes of Overcompensating will be available to stream on Prime Video as of tomorrow, May 15.
