Usually the men are left off the fashion radar at events such as the Emmy Awards.

However, E! host Ryan Seacrest found himself to be a talking point for all the wrong reasons on Sunday afternoon.

Ryan bumped into not just one, but two actors on the red carpet wearing the same distict grey suits that featured satin peak lapels.

Modern Family star Ty Burrell’s suit was slightly different in that it was a double breasted style.

However, comedian Will Arnett’s was almost identical.

Ryan saw the funny side as he tweeted a picture with Will while on the red carpet together. 

Luckily the other men of the evening chose different looks on the night.

On Sunday, Jeff Daniels stood out as he accepted the Emmy Award for best drama series actor for his role as an idealistic TV anchorman in The Newsroom.

Daniels noted that he’d also received an age 50-plus acting honor from AARP, which represents the interests of older Americans.

‘With all due respect to the AARP, this is even better,’ Daniels said.

In the comedy realm, Tony Hale from Veep took home the award for best supporting actor, breaking the recent streak held by the men of Modern Family in this category.

Bobby Cannavale of Boardwalk Empire secured the best supporting actor award in a drama, while Anna Gunn from Breaking Bad received the best actress honor in the same category.
