Selena Gomez proved once again that she’s not one to be shaken by social media noise, even when it’s possibly coming from her famous ex.

The 32-year-old singer and “Only Murders in the Building” star stepped out in New York City on Thursday to film scenes for the upcoming season of the hit Hulu series, looking effortlessly chic in a long beige leather duster coat.

Selena Gomez reunited with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short for a shoot under a porte-cochère in the Big Apple, unfazed by the swirling buzz surrounding Justin Bieber’s latest online behavior.

Her on-set return came just days after eagle-eyed fans suggested that memes shared by Bieber were aimed at mocking her recent engagement to music producer Benny Blanco.

Gomez and Blanco got engaged in December 2024 after about a year of dating, and while the “Lose You to Love Me” singer hasn’t commented on the speculation, her confident presence Thursday spoke volumes.

While she appeared focused and stylish, pairing her statement coat with a burgundy-and-white gingham blouse, a tan leather mini skirt, dark stockings, and knee-high burgundy lizard-print boots, Bieber was generating headlines for very different reasons.

The 31-year-old pop star was reportedly involved in a concerning public outburst outside a coffee shop in Palm Springs just a day prior, continuing to spark concern over his health and well-being.

According to reports, Bieber has been laying low in the California desert with his wife Hailey Bieber amid growing fan concern over his gaunt appearance and erratic behavior. An insider told Daily Mail that the singer has been acting “manic, not sleeping” and “hardly eating.”

But Gomez, who styled her brunette locks in soft, center-parted waves for the shoot, didn’t appear to let any of that drama interfere with her work.

Her co-stars also kept it classic, with Martin in a gray plaid sport coat, blue shirt, and navy pants topped off with a midnight-blue pork pie hat, while Short leaned into his character’s flair with a crimson shirt, waistcoat, plaid overcoat, and burgundy pants.

The Emmy-nominated series, which follows the three neighbors as they host a true crime podcast and investigate murders in their apartment building, has attracted major star power, including Oscar-winner Meryl Streep. The Hollywood icon, who appeared in the previous season, has reportedly been quietly dating Short for over a year.

Gomez’s return to work comes just days after she was spotted courtside with her fiancé at the Knicks game, cozying up with her boo. The “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum faced the cold in style, donning a deep brown suede coat over a cozy cream sweater, paired with timeless bootcut jeans. She added a rugged Americana flair with cowboy-style boots, a bold, grounding detail that tied the whole outfit together with ease.

Still, it was Bieber’s Instagram activity that had the internet buzzing last week.

Among a series of rapid-fire meme posts, two in particular ignited backlash from Gomez’s fans. One featured a scene from “The Lord of the Rings” with Gollum ecstatically clutching the One Ring, captioned, “Girls on social media when they get engaged.”

The timing of the post, just months after Gomez’s own engagement, raised eyebrows and accusations that Bieber was subtly throwing shade.
