A Florida man is facing charges after police uncovered what they described as a “house of horrors,” featuring children’s underwear, anatomically accurate child sex dolls, and rooms adorned with princess themes. Authorities expressed their profound disturbance over the discovery during a recent press conference.

Blake Edward McKinniss, a 37-year-old resident of Sanford, has been arrested and charged with 100 offenses. These include 53 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, 46 counts of possessing AI-generated child pornography, and one count of owning a childlike sex doll, as detailed in a press release by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

McKinniss is currently being held at the Seminole County Jail, where he has entered a plea of not guilty, according to court records available to the public.

The investigation into McKinniss began on January 27, following an influx of more than 70 cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. These tips alleged that McKinniss had uploaded, viewed, and stored child sexual abuse content and had downloaded AI-generated images of a similar nature.

One of the interactive AI characters was named “Emily,” FDLE Special Agent Felipe Williams said in a March 17 press conference, adding that the doll in question resembled a 6-year-old child.

Authorities executed a search warrant at McKinniss’s residence on March 9, as noted in the press release. During the search, they confiscated electronic devices, a child-like sex doll, and children’s underwear. The home, located in a gated community in Sanford near an elementary school, was described as unsettling by officials.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier commented during the press conference, stating, “What law enforcement saw when they arrived left them speechless. They entered into a house of horrors.”

Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Lauryn Day said in the press conference that McKinniss’ home contained, “One of the most disturbing scenes of my career.”

“All the bedrooms in the home were decorated as if only young children occupied them,” said Day. “One room, with pink princess castles and hearts around the walls, serving as some type of storage room, included little girls’ plastic princess shoes, toys and boxes that appear to contain bedding, stuffed animals and other items.”

Another room that resembled a storage area, said Day, appeared dedicated to boys, containing “cartoon-like footballs, baseballs, basketballs, [and] soccer balls.”

A master bedroom, Day continued, was seemingly outfitted for an elementary-aged girl, with pink walls, curtains, and bedding, along with princess wands and tiaras, feathers and unicorn stuffies. The room contained posters of “My Little Pony” and motivational slogans such as, “You’re doing amazing, Sweetie” and sexual paraphernalia.

“This room belonged to a middle-aged, single, childless man,” said Day. “There was nothing innocent about this room.”

If McKinniss is convicted, he faces a “bottom of the guideline sentence” of 1,137.3 months in the Florida Department of Corrections, said Day, while his maximum sentence is 1,026 years if convicted as charged and sentenced consecutively on each count.

An attorney for McKinniss could not immediately be reached by Oxygen. McKinniss’ arraignment hearing is scheduled for April 28.
