A cosmetics company says it’s just trying to correct the record after becoming an unwitting participant in Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, TMZ reports.

As opening statements were delivered earlier this week, Elaine Bredehoft, a lawyer for Heard, said that her client had Milani Conceal + Perfect All-in-One Correcting Kit with her at all times during her relationship with Depp.

The statement seemed to suggest that Heard needed the makeup so that she could cover up injuries allegedly inflicted by physical abuse from Depp.

The makeup company later posted a video on TikTok that indicates whatever concealer Heard was using was not Milani. The video says that the product Heard’s attorney referenced was not available publicly until December 2017, but that Heard alleged she was abused between 2014 and 2016.

“You asked us . . . let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!” a caption to the post reads.

“Take note: alleged abuse was around 2014-2016, got divorced 2016, makeup palette release date: December 2017,” text in the video reads.

The video shows Milani’s product catalog and a presentation slide that states the product was released in 2017.

“We are here to provide the facts of the case,” the company wrote in the video’s comment section.

The trial is ongoing at the Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia. Depp alleges that Heard defamed him in a 2018 essay she wrote that many readers viewed as an accounting of alleged abuse from Depp.

Depp has denied the abuse allegations and is seeking a minimum of $50 million in damages to recover what he claims was damage to his career, in addition to $350,000 in punitive damages, attorney fees and court costs.
