Teddi Mellencamp has candidly discussed her experiences with dating while facing stage 4 cancer in a recent interview.

Originally diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, Mellencamp’s condition has since spread to her lungs and brain. Despite these challenges, she has embarked on a new relationship with an older gentleman whose identity she has kept under wraps.

Having just enjoyed her tenth date with this new partner—who still shares his home with his college-aged children—Mellencamp was previously seen getting close to her former partner, Ricci Rea, earlier this year.

On her podcast, “Two Ts in a Pod,” the 44-year-old former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star referred to her new beau as “Derek” for privacy reasons.

“Dating as a parent presents its own set of challenges,” she explained. “With kids at home on both sides, finding time to connect isn’t easy.”

Mellencamp admitted, “There are aspects of my life I haven’t discussed with him yet. I’m taking things slow, which is a new approach for me.”

Mellencamp and the 48-year-old Skyline Security CEO continue to share their $6.5 million Encino marital home after pausing their divorce due to her ailing health.

The Masked Singer Calla Lily’s co-host Tamra Judge then asked, ‘How does he deal with the cancer?’

‘He’s pretty good about it. He’s a relatively positive and logical person in general. He’s older than I am,’ Mellencamp said.

‘But the thing that I like the most about him is he makes me laugh.’

The Bravo-lebrity and her silver fox had an early dinner date at WeHo hotspot Craig’s and then he asked if she wanted to stop by a speakeasy nearby or if she was ‘too tired from her immunotherapy’ for her stage IV cancer battle.

‘I was like, “I actually have enough energy right now,”‘ Mellencamp recalled.

‘Then I woke up this morning and I felt like hell.’

Mellencamp – who’s getting more tests in May – revealed she has one more year of immunotherapy treatments, which make her feel terrible three weeks out of the month.

The star had ‘no detectable cancer’ in her body as recently as last October after undergoing radiation as well as several surgeries to remove 16 melanomas on her back and plum-sized tumors on her brain.

The RHOC guest star’s 13-year marriage to Arroyave reportedly crumbled after her rumored months-long affair with her horse trainer Simon Schröeder (while his wife Karli Postel was pregnant with their second child).

Postel reportedly ‘found text messages on Simon’s phone that exposed the affair’ and they confessed when she confronted them about it.

‘We’re going to call him Derek,’ the 44-year-old RHOBH alum said on her Two Ts in a Podcast Wednesday. ‘But that’s the thing when you’re dating and you’re both parents. Like, how are you ever supposed to get past first base? I have kids in my house. He has kids in his house’

‘I’ve never talked about it at all, just because of the kids,’ Mellencamp confirmed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show August 5.

‘And I’ve never wanted anybody to have a guarantee whether it happened or didn’t happen, but what I can say is, did I do things that hurt other people? Yes.’

The avid equestrian continued: ‘To this day, does it still hurt my heart and I wonder if that’s why I got cancer? Yes, like it was my payback…nothing goes without payment.’
