Rhea Seehorn continues to cement her status as a remarkable talent of her generation, captivating audiences in Vince Gilligan’s much-anticipated sci-fi mystery, “Pluribus.” Her prowess isn’t confined to live-action performances; she’s equally impressive in the animated arena. Notably, she played a significant role in a Superman animated series.
In the anime-inspired series “My Adventures with Superman,” Seehorn lends her voice to Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s Kryptonian mother. Alongside Jason Marnocha’s Zor-El, they appear in flashbacks that delve into Superman’s origins. In the Season 2 episode titled “Pierce the Heavens, Superman!,” the titular hero, voiced by Jack Quaid, becomes ensnared by Brainiac’s Black Mercy device, which warps his mind and traps him in a Kryptonian illusion. This simulated reality offers a rare opportunity for Kal-El to interact with his mother, Lara, showcasing Seehorn’s ability to bring depth to this pivotal moment.
