The “Star Wars” universe continues to expand, weaving new stories into its already intricate timeline. This expansion has brought beloved characters from animated series like “Star Wars Rebels” and “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” into the live-action realm. While fans are thrilled to see these characters come to life in a new format, the transition hasn’t been without its controversies, particularly regarding the character Sabine Wren, originally voiced by Tiya Sircar.

The main point of contention revolves around whether Force sensitivity is an inherent trait or a skill that can be developed by anyone, given that the Force is a ubiquitous presence. The introduction of midi-chlorians in the prequel trilogy implied that being a Jedi was a genetic trait. However, recent interpretations suggest that everyone may have some Force sensitivity, although to varying degrees.

Fans have theories as to how Sabine’s Force-sensitivity works in canon
