Kelly Clarkson is deep in the trenches of establishing parameters to finalize her complicated divorce from ex Brandon Blackstock.
And the original American Idol admitted she’s cleansing her space with renovations in an attempt to find joy amid a challenging time.
The 38-year-old singer chatted with Fran Drescher on her self-titled talk show where they found common ground sharing divorce stories.

Drescher, 63, gave Kelly a quick tour of her pristine home and detailed the reasons for creating a tranquil space with pure peace.
‘When I bought this house, I was getting a divorce from my first husband and I was still on the show The Nanny and my life was very complicated and intense and busy,’ she told Kelly. ‘I needed something that was extremely calming and very pristine to make me feel very peaceful.’
Clarkson admitted her words resonated ‘like you were in my last therapy session’ as she shared a similar renovation process to calm her nerves after splitting with her estranged husband.

Clarkson, 38, shares River Rose, six, and Remington Alexander, four, with Blackstock, 43, and he has two teenage children from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth.
‘The level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time coparenting due to issues of trust between them,’ court documents stated.
Blackstock reportedly asked for $436,000 a month from Clarkson, consisting of $301,000 in spousal support and $135,000 in child support.
