This veteran Viltrumite makes his presence felt in the climactic conclusion of Season 3, confronting Mark Grayson, portrayed by Steven Yeun, over his resistance to surrender Earth to the Viltrum Empire. The confrontation results in widespread destruction and casualties. Despite the chaos, Mark, with the help of Eve, played by Gillian Jacobs, ultimately overcomes Conquest. However, the defeated Viltrumite is secretly taken to one of Cecil Stedman’s facilities, hinting at his potential reappearance in the series.

The character returns with a significant role in the epic Viltrumite War, a major storyline featuring a clash between the Coalition of Planets, including Seth Rogen’s Allen the Alien, and the Viltrum Empire. This arc culminates in Conquest’s final showdown with Mark.
Once he recovers and breaks free from captivity, Conquest rejoins the Viltrumite forces, proving to be a crucial ally in their struggle against the Coalition. He sets his sights on Mark and his brother Oliver, voiced by Lincoln Bodin and Christian Convery in the series, but ultimately meets his end in a fierce battle. Despite being defeated, Conquest inflicts severe injuries on Mark, leaving him on the brink of death.
A fascinating development in the comics is the nuanced portrayal of Conquest. With “Invincible” creator Robert Kirkman planning up to eight seasons to fully adapt the comic’s storyline, viewers might eventually witness the full arc of Conquest’s journey.
While Mark recuperates, his younger brother is aggrieved to find out that Nolan has chosen to bury Conquest with full honors, despite the veteran Viltrumite’s antagonistic actions. This is because Omni-Man himself is an old Viltrumite who’s been around for thousands of years and holds deep respect for Conquest’s prowess as a stellar example of his people’s most powerful warriors. Nolan goes as far as to say he considers Conquest to be the better man.
This late-game look at Conquest’s positive traits (from the Viltrumite viewpoint, at least) reminds the reader that in his own way, the old warrior embraced the ideals and aspirations of his people … and should the Prime Video show choose to adapt this development, the scene will no doubt provide plenty of food for thought. Since “Invincible” creator Robert Kirkman envisions a total season count of up to eight seasons in order to cover the whole comic book narrative, there’s a decent chance that fans will eventually get to see Conquest’s last stand.
