Hockey history could be made today as Alexander Ovechkin takes to the ice in search of a record-breaking goal.
Ovechkin scored two goals in the Washington Capitals’ 5-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night, tying Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL record of 894 lamp lighters. “Ovi” could break the record this afternoon, as the Caps face off against the New York Islanders.
