Surveillance footage reportedly showed two brothers hours before their bodies were discovered on a Georgia mountain in March.

According to a report by WAGA, Qaadir and Naazir Lewis, both 19, were captured on video at a Shell gas station in Lawrenceville on the evening of March 7. The footage shows them consuming snacks and drinking water before leaving the premises, and they were discovered shot dead on Bell Mountain on March 8.

Qaadir and Naazir Lewis’ aunt informed WAGA that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had shown the surveillance video to their mother. The family has contested the initial assessment by Towns County police that the deaths of the teens were a murder-suicide.

“I know that something happened to them. I know that they were murdered,” the aunt commented.

The Lewis brothers were supposed to catch a flight to Boston, Massachusetts, on March 7, but they missed it. Their airline tickets were found in their wallets when their bodies were discovered the following day, as reported.

Family members said the 19-year-olds had never been near where their bodies were found, which is 90 miles from home.

Days after Qaadir and Naazir Lewis’ were found dead on the mountain, Towns County volunteer firefighter Scott Kerlin, 42, was arrested for taking and sharing photos from the scene.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has not handed down an official ruling in this case as forensic tests are pending.
