It is transfer deadline day in the January window and clubs everywhere are beavering away trying to get moves over the line before the close of play.
It looks set to be one of the busiest January deadline days for years in the Premier League, with plenty of deals expected to be completed before the window slams shut.
The newly-acquired spending power of Newcastle United is a big part of this, with the Magpies looking to add at least two more players to their squad on Monday, having already agreed deals for Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes this month.
As ever, some deals are being left right to the last minute, but time is fast running out for them.
What time does the January transfer window close?
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday 31 January, however, there is a short period for deals to be completed after that time.
As per the Premier League website: ‘Clubs will have until midnight to complete the necessary information/document uploads on FIFA’s Transfer Matching System (TMS).’
The same 11pm deadline is in place for clubs across the English Football League.
Across Europe the deadline is also on Monday but the times do change, with the window closing at 5pm UK time in Germany, 7pm in Italy and staying at 11pm in France and Spain.
