Former Tottenham and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has teased a possible return to management with his old side Juventus.

Conte is on a sabbatical and has been without a job since leaving Spurs ‘by mutual consent’, just 16 months after his initial appointment.

The Italian’s time in North London was turbulent to say the least, culminating in an extraordinary rant in which he questioned the squad’s desire and attitude that ultimately resulted in his exit.

Napoli and Roma were thought to be at the front of that queue, but it is former side Juventus that Conte himself has teased a return to.

The 54-year-old was asked about rejoining Juventus while speaking at an event at the University of Salento, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The former Chelsea boss insisted: ‘Marriages are done in two, you can always dream and hope to get married another time.’

‘The important thing is that there is sharing of thoughts. But now I want to make the most of my free time, continuing to study to broaden my knowledge.’

Conte spent many successful years in Turin, winning five Serie A titles and one Champions League as a player and three more league trophies as a manager.

A possible return to Juventus seems the most likely option for him at the moment, after he rejected joining Napoli in favour of spending more time with his family.

An unnamed Saudi Arabian club had also reportedly approached him during his time off but again he rejected the decision.

While he may favour a return to Turin, Conte could be forced to wait a while as Massimilano Allegri’s side have been rejuvinated this season.

The Old Lady sit second in the league table, just two points behind another of Conte’s former side’s Inter Milan, and could go top should they beat the Nerrazzuri on Sunday.

During his 13 seasons with Juventus, he made 295 appearances and scored 29 goals in Serie A
