A nutrition coach has shared how she makes guilt-free Hungry Jacks Whoppers using budget buys from Aldi.

Bec Hardgrave, from Brisbane, uses eight ingredients to whip up the perfect ‘fake-away’ snacks that only have 360 calories per serving.

The nutritionist’s philosophy is that you don’t have to be on a bland diet of chicken and broccoli if you want to eat healthy and lose weight.

Bec has previously shared her expert recipes for other fast food alternatives – including the McDonald’s McChicken burgers and popular Nando’s chicken and chips.

She first went to Aldi to pick up the ingredients: brioche buns, 120g five-star beef mince, 30g sliced tomato, 30g sliced pickles, 20g brown onion, shredded iceberg lettuce ($1.99), low-sugar tomato sauce ($1.39), and light mayonnaise ($2.59).

‘These are super easy to make,’ Bec shared in a video.

‘I start by rolling my mince into balls, seasoning with salt and pepper, and pressing them into patties on a pan.’

Once the meat is cooked, Bec begins to assemble her meal.

She places the patty, tomato sauce, sliced pickles, onion, tomato, and lettuce on one slice, with only light mayo on the other bun.

Each burger is only 360 calories and contains 35 grams of protein, 9.2 grams of fat and 40 grams of carbohydrates.

Many thanked Bec for her hack and shared their thoughts on the food.

‘I do a dupe of this at home and it’s better than the original greasy take away!’ a mum wrote. ‘My secret ingredient is a small amount of mustard with the tomato sauce.’

‘This is my go-to at least once a week for dinners!’ another said.

‘Aldi brioche buns are the best,’ one noted.
