Jackson served as a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office for 18 years. In November 2012, Jackson, a registered Republican, unsuccessfully ran for district attorney of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
By February 2013, Jackson transitioned to a career as a civil litigator at Palmer, Lombardi, and Donohue, after District Attorney Jackie Lacey, who defeated him in the November runoff, reassigned him from the prestigious major crimes division to a position supervising prosecutors in lower-profile cases.
