It comes after Malin revealed she was in A&E for five hours on Thursday evening after experiencing severe chest pain.

The former Love Island star, 31, rushed to hospital after the ache left her fearing she may have had a collapsed lung.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Friday, Malin filled her followers in on the frightening ordeal.

She wrote: ‘Guys you couldn’t write my life. I was in A&E last night for 5 hours because I had bad chest pain on the right – it was soooo bad.

‘I thought my lung had collapsed. All those years of vaping but no, it was a torn muscle. Still never vaping agian though. It’s the devil.’

It comes after Malin opened up about her battle with drink and drug abuse, after her boyfriend left her following the birth of their daughter.

The reality star welcomed her daughter, Xaya, in January 2022 with her boyfriend Jared.

However, just four weeks later, she was left ‘blindsided’ and ‘distraught’ after Jared decided to leave her.

Malin revealed that she struggled with co-parenting and the loneliness she felt caused her to spiral into ‘negative behaviour’ to cope, including binge drinking and taking drugs .

Speaking to The Sun , she recalled: ‘For the first year of Xaya’s life, I was a mess. One minute you’re a mum, the next you’re alone on the sofa.’

She admitted that she would have screaming matches with Jared and her jealousy would cause her to mess around with his days to have Xaya, exacerbating to a point where she ‘couldn’t bear to set eyes on him’.

Malin went on: ‘I couldn’t handle it and I missed her so much. I was incredibly lonely and that manifested itself in a lot of negative behaviour. I bought an eight grand hot tub and would sit in it getting drunk, looking at the stars and crying.’

‘On other occasions when Xaya wasn’t with me, I’d go out boozing with friends. I was binge-drinking and taking drugs in a bid to quash all the negative feelings.

‘Even when I was with my daughter, I was angry at my ex for putting me in this situation, and full of grief that we weren’t the perfect family I’d always dreamed of.’

Malin admitted she was ‘out-of-control’ and full of rage, before finally checking herself into a £12,000 rehab clinic.

She signed up for a three-week programme, which she credits for ‘helping me get my head straight’, while doing yoga has ‘helped to centre’ her, meaning she now has a better relationship with alcohol and co-parenting.

She explained she had decided to open up about her experiences to help others going through the same thing.
