Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock’s incredible weight loss journey has been displayed by his wife as the former Premier League footballer continues to shed the pounds.

Ruddock underwent gastric sleeve surgery in September last year at a time when his weight had ballooned to 27 stone and there was concerns over his health.

He previously admitted his eating and drinking habits had spiralled dangerously out of control, but the innovative surgery has worked lifesaving wonders for the 54-year-old.

Having already lost seven stone by having two thirds of his stomach removed in the operation, Ruddock’s new frame is continuing to impress fans of the previous Tottenham and Liverpool star.

An image posted on social media by his wife, Leah, shows a side-by-side comparison of Ruddock at the time of his heaviest and now slim figure.

A more defined jawline and slimmer frame are just some of the notable improvements that Ruddock has benefitted from since undergoing the invasive surgery.

Supporters couldn’t believe Ruddock’s transformation and heaped praise on him after seeing the positive changes in the online post made by his wife.

‘He looks incredible and younger, good on him, your a good wife Leah helping him on his journey,’ read one comment from an X user.

Another comment read: ‘Wow! It certainly looks like he’s tamed his demons… I should imagine with a lot of help from yourself… nonetheless well done.’

A similar reaction added: ‘Massive Congratulations to Neil, he’s doing amazing and he’s doing your lovely family proud, it’s so wonderful to see, just shows what an incredible man he is, and it’s so lovely to see. The world needs more people like Neil and you in it.’

Ruddock previously revealed how going under the knife has caused him to drastically alter his diet in a bid to help shed fat and keep it off.

Before the operation his meals filled a serving plate, but now he can only manage tiny portions in a small bowl as he swapped out junk food for healthier alternatives.

Previously speaking, Razor said: ‘It looks a bit pathetic eating out of this tiny bowl, but it’s literally all I can have now, it fills me up.

‘I never used to like cereal but I eat it all the time now, as when it’s blended with milk it digests well. It’s the same with a bag of Skips.’
