What's open on Memorial Day?

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 26, and although most government buildings will be closed, many other establishments will remain open or operate on reduced hours.

Here’s what you can expect to see open or closed tomorrow.

Banks

Banks will be closed, but ATMs are usually still available.

Government buildings

Post offices, public schools, legislative offices, and courts will all be closed.

Mail

Due to the closure of post offices, USPS, FedEx, and UPS will not deliver or pick up mail. Amazon will also refrain from delivering packages on Memorial Day as well as other federal holidays.

Pharmacies

CVS Pharmacy will be open with reduced operating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In contrast, Walgreens Pharmacy will be closed, Walmart Pharmacy will function with reduced hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Publix Pharmacy will also be closed.

Grocery

Publix Super Market will be open for its regular hours, even though the pharmacies will be closed. Costco will be closed, Sam’s Club will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for Plus members and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for Club members. Aldi stores will open at regular hours but close early at 6:00 p.m. Winn-Dixie will be open with regular hours. Whole Foods Market will be open with regular hours.
