Michelle Visage has become Morticia Addams’ double as she prepares to play the legendary character on the West End.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star, 55, is set to star in The Addams Family: The Musical Comedy live in concert at the London Palladium next month.

She is appearing opposite Ramin Karimloo as Gomez Addams and Lesley Joseph in the role of Grandma.

New pictures show Michelle in her costume and makeup, looking the spitting image of the Morticia character.

She donned a long black witch-like dress, with flowing tattered sleeves and a plunging neckline, showing off her cleavage.

She also sported the classic long black wig, with silver highlights in the front, and the signature black and silver heavy eyeshadow.

Michelle cosied up to her onstage husband Ramin, who wore Gomez’s typical black striped suit and bow tie.

For one daring shot, Michelle sat across Ramin’s lap and kicked her long legs in the air, clad in fishnet tights.

The play is based on the fictional family created by American cartoonist Charles Addams in the 1930s, who have a love for the macabre.

The musical was created by Andrew Lippa, Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice in 2009 and has been nominated for two Tony Awards.

The synopsis reads: ‘Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and has a shocking secret that only Gomez knows; she’s fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family! 

‘Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. 

‘Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.’

Michelle showed off her 45lb weight loss in the sultry costume, after revealing that she dropped the pound to ‘calm inflammation’ and not to be skinny.

The Radio 2 presenter lost the weight in just a year following The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet and weightlifting after struggling with perimenopause.

She previously explained that she hopes the weight loss will also help reverse her Hashimoto’s disease – an autoimmune disease where the thyroid gland is destroyed.

Appearing on Loose Women at the end of last year, Michelle explained that she believes her breast implant journey was also a major factor in the shocking weight loss.

She told the panel: ‘I have an autoimmune disease. I hate putting our self-worth down to our bodies; we are so much more than that.

‘The journey was never about losing weight. It was about calming inflammation, and that is what came along with it.

‘I believe my breast implant journey was a major factor.’

According to healthline.com: ‘The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet is an elimination diet designed to help reduce inflammation or other symptoms caused by autoimmune disorders.’

Speaking on her BBC Sounds Podcast Rule Breakers in 2023, Michelle announced that she has shifted over three stone in weight.

She then took to Instagram shortly after to celebrate her ‘healthiversary,’ and insisted: ‘I never wanted to be skinny, I wanted muscles!’

She explained: ‘Menopause was a big wake-up for me. It shook me. I knew nothing. I went into it not knowing a thing. It was the worst thing I experienced in my life.

‘It’s by far the worst thing I’ve experienced. I’m not a weak person, and I was like ”I’m gonna give up soon if I don’t get help.”

‘This past year, when I got my breast implants taken out, I had to take them out. Perimenopause, breast implant illness, all at the same time.

‘I’m so proud of my change. I did it with a commitment to heavy weight lifting – being a woman of a certain age, that is really going to fend off the doctors because resistance training is key.

‘People think it’s cardio and running – no! It’s getting into that gym. Do not care what people think about you. I do it with YouTube and I do it from home with weights as well,’ before reminding people: ‘It’s all free online!’
